Oh how times have changed, thinking back to playing Port Vale in August and coming away from Burslem with a 2-0 win. Goals from Gary Jones and Liam Noble sealed the victory for us that day in front of a crowd of little more that 5000.

Here we are looking for players and staff that link the two clubs..There are a few, but this isn't going to be a record haul...

I will kick off with Kevin Pilkington

I give you the legend that is ........... Lee Hughes!

I'd throw in Mark Smith for a bonus point.

Oh, sorry, took my time writing that and the others suddenly appeared.

Daniel Jones

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Don McLean

Liam Chilvers, Peter Beadle

George Poyser played for Vale in 1931-32 season and later managed Notts, during his tenure in 1955 we reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup beating Middlesborough, Sheff Wed and Chelsea along the way only to be knocked out by York City 0-1 at home. Typical Notts.
