Saddened to hear of the passing of Terry Wogan.Great on the radio and absolutely brilliant with his Eurovision Song Contest commentaries.RIP Terry.

Its sad when you learn of a passing like Terry Wogan, after he dropped out children's in need due to health I wondered how serious it was. I suppose at his age he should have found time to relax more, none the less its tragic.

I couldn't believe he was Irish when Super told me, he had a really clean and clear voice but once mentioned - I could hear it in his voice. I think there hasn't been many people like within television, his voice could be put to anything and you would find it to be funny/interesting.

He's an icon, reall sad to learn of this news and for once I read it via a website.

It shared a picture Pudsey looking sad. I have to admit, I'm only really touched when it's the loss of someone I like or admire - I'll pay respect but I think there's a trend of acting like everyone is a loss to people personally. This said, I do feel this - I've watched years of Eurovision, especially at my parents and he had me in stitches with the BBC complaints programme (which I forget the title of) - where he could call the viewer, take the micky but still keep it away from 'personal' or offensive.

And to be honest, it's on par with Sir Patrick Moore who I was gutted about dying despite his age.

R.I.P Mr Eurovision - You made it worth watching alone.

Very sad to hear this. It's a bit of a surprise too, as he was on our screens and radios until very recently.

I was never keen on his chat show, but he came into his own on a radio format with his wit and turn of phrase. He made Eurovision hilarious. Is it true that he spent the evening drinking whisky to make it more bearable?

Here's a collection of his quotes:Β http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/jan/31/from-eurovision-to-radio-2-terry-wogans-best-quotes

Rip Terry Wogan, It was a surprise. Hes not been on tv the past year like he was before but i certainly wasn't expecting to hear that. Thoughts go out to his family.

I hope these deaths don't carry on, there has been alot already this year.
