New owners?

Is there more to Ray Trew resigning than meets the eye? ITV are already reporting that there is a potential buyer. Wonder who it is?

I have heard the buyer owns a few golf courses!

I hope we won't be seeing Paul Ince back then

It's all speculation, I was told things on Saturday but it's a case of wait and see. I'm currently stood outside the ground waiting to be interviewed, we will see.

I don't think for a moment the Trews would leave unless they'd gone a long way to finding a buyer. Porbably can't announce it for legal reasons.

I don't believe they'd leave Notts in the lurch and see their investment go down the drain.

Why would he step down and not announce who was taking over as chairman if there wasn't someone waiting in the wings

Why give large on social media and other sites? To blame the fans.

It's all petty games.

Get the new owners in asap, Ray will just lose money the longer he holds out. It is good that he has stepped down!

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Whoever buys Notts, they will need deep pockets.

We can forget about stability for now, the new owner will want to change things and make sure its ship shape. Notts has seemed like a sinking ship ever since Rodwell and Irvine left.

you don't always need millions this is a myth to me.

Are Coventry city loaded no but yet in league one they've been flying Accrington Exeter Mansfield they ain't loaded but are doing great.

Northamphton prime example of money ain't everythin

You need footballing people hard working team a structured system a plan a EXPRIENCED manager who knows the leagues the rest can click into place in my opinion

Crewe are another example of this

exactly  Swindon had one of the smaller budgets last year in league one according to cooper and made the playoffs finals.

If you have the right team management structure etc etc you can do it it's possible but I'm jus not sure where anyone in the right mind is going to pay Ray 8-10million

Ray trew wants 8-10M for club hardy is intrested and a serious bidder but thinks the price is to much

I don't know about the prices of clubs at our level but 10m is the price of a rubbish player in the premiership...

Of course the club isn't worth anywhere near that. It's a negotiating tactic, I think he's fully aware he won't get anything close to that. I doubt talks would be ongoing if RT were so inflexible.

7 million is supposedly the figure wanted, after talks containing sums of 2m/ 4.5m/ 5m have supposedly been discussed before the last home game.

In no way am I claiming this to be true but it's what I have heard from multiple people. Myself, If I had been offered 5m I would have taken it - I honestly don't believe we are worth that. We have little in place, no real training ground etc. There's a lot of speculation but if Mr Trew is holding out for 10 million, he may still be here for awhile and things will only get more ugly I feel.

Someone else said it yesterday but he should cut his loses, think about the family and move on.

(In no way do I take for granted what he's done for the club).

i thought the agreement with arnold was just over use not buying it.

also thought we had moved to rolls royce??

Shouldn't we have our own training facilities and not use amateur teams ?

no way is he settling for 7 million Bolton sold at 7.5 better and bigger teams in league 2 and 1 wouldn't sell for 7-8 million

So he's living in dream land at a push he may get 2-4 million max and which is about fair and now hardy and trew are in serious talks it could happen sooner then later

Does anyone else think that the incidents after the last home game game were merely a smokescreen for the fact that this deal was already in the pipeline?

I am not saying that something didn't happen....but things seem pretty well advanced according to the rumours?
