Points total

Just wondering if this has been done before where a manager needs to get a certain amount of points before being offered a longer contract? It feels like nothings ever done simple at Notts and just seems on the surface like it's an added complication.

After the last appointment and the club still up for sale of seems a good option as we all don't want another Fullarton. On paper it looks a great appointment but so have other appointments and they've not worked out. Its like a try before you buy, if he's good enough he'll stay and we can build however if he does under perform it gives us an option to get rid. I hope its a realistic target and nothing stupid. Let's back the team and get as many points as we can. Very happy with the appointment though.

I'd say it would be to get to 50 points to make sure we are safe, I think we just have to get behind him, and give him a proper chance, Fullerton never really had a chance but that was down to him, we have to give Cooper time to see his side and build

I've never known it to happen but it's a wise decision, as if Cooper doesn't manage to change much - at least he won't be lumbered here. Giving Fullarton the massive contract length was very bizarre. I suspect the target is to reach 50 points, lets just secure a steady end to this season and by this I mean actually compete in some of the games.

We have a squad full of players who can give any side a game, we just need the defence sorting, the midfield pushing up and to actually attack.

I agree with just giving Cooper the job till the end of the season especially with all the uncertainly going on around the club, the slight issue I have is he has a big impact and everyone likes what they see but down to a bit of bad luck in certain games he doesn't reach the points target (after all you don't always get what you deserve in football), I just hope common sense prevails.

Fullarton never really had a chance ...best to end the sentence there

Some fans reaction wasn't a culmination of 69 days ......for some he was a dead man walking before he set foot in the door

Still, always best to look forward not back .....

Obviously I hope he does well, and am crossing my fingers that common sense prevails if we do well but he just falls short of a set points target. On paper Cooper has a much harder run of fixtures than Fullarton had, but football isn't played on paper!

I don't think cooper will have a problem getting the points required , feel confident he will get more out this squad than both JF and RM , there are significant points I feel he will guide us towards if he can instill much needed confidence or players self belief
