Trexit! Trew or not Trew ?

Today is the day! Mr T said that if the club isn't sold by the end of June then he would take us forward!

There has been no news of a takeover for months so I don't expect things to change!

I don't think anyone expected it to happen after the news pretty much died down.

There's two much happening to suggest that a takeover is on the cards, so it's literally the last roll of the dice and things may appear to be merry now but I do have fears for if things don't go to plan. What happened last year with the tension around Meadow Lane will be times by a fair number, so lets hope things are more productive because us fans do need things to make the football season more positive.

Winning games and chasing promotion will naturally help.

The Phoenix was dealing with Lord Lucan, thats why we haven,t heard owt.A few signings dont make things right after last season. He will look a right Charlie after his page in the programme & the twitter posts saying he was selling up.He has lost a lot of respect & its takes a lot to get it back. All these different groups that were"suppossedly in a race to the line",disappeared.Hmmmm.

I am inclined to agree with @irishpete, Ray shown once again that he is rash when he is not happy.

Considering the information available to us, I wonder if he misread potential investors interest? Then again it makes you wonder why he would state that two had made offers which met his asking price. If he had accepted them like quoted, why would the deal fail without information coming forthright? There is a lot of explaining but time is to focus on the new season.

i really cant be bothered to discuss this because it makes me quite angry, last season was a prime example how not to treat your supporters!

esp when you dont have many attending games.

What's past is past , I'm hoping lessons have been learnt, can't disagree with any of the above genuine comments, but I'd like to add a good bit has changed for the positive , CEO who seems upfront , a good manager in place and he is being backed to build his squad , and I feel he is doing just that , dead wood from playing staff to head of recruitment all gone to , so many reasons to be positive, let's build bridges and learn together, cos sometimes us fans don't get it correct either , so a united ncfc can move forward and we all want that I'm sure . I would prefer if the Trews sold up, but not at all costs. I believe we need owners that don't throw a tantrum when they don't get their own way, or ones that have a long term plan and stick to it. As we have seen with RT, whilst he may give the talk of 5 year plans etc, at best his plans are 2 seasons long before the dummy is thrown out, or at worst, like last season, a few months and the said dummy is launched into orbit. However, I am willing to accept if there are no serious owners who are going to match the asking price/ don't have enough funds to run the club, then the Trews will continue to run the club.

I'd like to think the Trews have changed, but past experiences suggest this won't happen. Having said that, what has happened since the fictional/'not as interested as RT thought they were' potential owners crawled under a rock in Denmark/China/USA/Timbuktu, has been positive. We look to have a CEO that can engage with supporters, a decent manager who has done well at this level  before, and a promising start to the summer signings.

I think we should try and draw a line under the goings on of last season, accept that RT will continue to own the club, and look forward to what could be a positive season for Notts County FC. Judging by the signings so far, the budget must be at least half decent.

I for one am looking forward to the new season, COYP.
