We won last year, think it was something like 3-2?

I don't do pre season friendlies and I'm on holiday for the start of the season, so won't actually get to Meadow Lane till the 3rd September game against Grimsby! Will be interesting to see where we are by then, performance wise.

I couldn't make it to this so I'll be relying on twitter!

Well, it's half-time. Not much in it. Fiercely contested. Plenty of decent tackles. Duffy standout player for me. It's 0-0.

MISSED. McLeod slams it down the middle but it's smashed the underside of the bar and bounces out. 0-0

another Idle miss from the spot...

FT 0-0

Folks, can we have a whip round for McLeod? I'm worried about him.

I would like to send him on a trip to Disney Land, perhaps he can re-find himself there? Why Disney Land? Its a magical place I hear, plus I think him being around good characters and perhaps the meeting his idol the Tin Man would help?

In all seriousness, it may be a friendly but if you can score from a penalty then god help us.

From what I have been told, Notts played well in spells but never looked like scoring. I would have gone to this, but I'm still not 100% and really 0-0 makes me think its money better saved. Onto the serious friendlies soon, we can judge things better but nothing counts until Yeovil!

Cant believe izale missed a peno. But like ya say nothing counts til the league starts.

Mickey Mouse quote of the year award for this..."In all seriousness, it maybe a friendly but if you can score from a penalty then god help us" :D

That's the problem, the devil is in the detail. :D

Is it a one way ticket? If so, I'm in.

Why on earth they were arguing over who takes the penalty once again i will never know, both times izale has won the argument and both times hes missed

Posted

That makes sense with what people told me, however out of three people none of which said what the argument was for or about - just that it was unprofessional.

Sounds like Sheridan needs to make a decision on who takes them and enforce it.

At least JS now knows that there's a problem with penalties, and that it's probably not a good idea to let McLeod take them. I'd rather we got this nonsense out of our system now than in the season proper.

Can anyone comment on the performance and our new signings? On paper, 0-0 against a Conference North team sounds underwhelming to say the least, but it's not the result that counts.
