FA Cup 2nd round draw

Featured Replies

What an excellent reward we got for beating Brizzle, a home tie against Oxford City.  We couldn't have hoped for a much better draw than that, not only TV potential but a great chance to be in round 3. Not counting any chickens as they did win at Colchester at the weekend and the Salford City debacle still hurts, but overall an excellent draw.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

I'm pleased.

I wanted a draw exactly like this, mostly because I feel we can prove ourselves and build up a good run within the cup. We have players who have this experience and it could be beneficial to the league now and next season.

Oxford City will be probably looking forward to visiting Meadow Lane, so let's respect them and just out work them.

We saw a tweet by a Bristol Rovers fan who underestimated a two goal lead, almost gloating very early - lets avoid this and show Oxford what we are about as a football club. I'm delighted to welcome them to Meadow Lane and it seems surreal to be at home again.

A field where dreams become reality.

Notts haven't had the best time against non-league sides in recent years so it's important that they do not take the game lightly. Boreham Wood and especially Salford should be at the front of their minds (not too much as to cause them anxiety though), Notts must get through round 2 first - no mention of round 3 whatsoever unless the final whistle blows on a Notts win.

It's a proper banana skin IMO. A good, solid, professional performance should get us into the third round, but bear in mind this will be Oxford City's biggest match in years, they will give everything.

Kick off time now confirmed as 12:30 pm on Saturday 2nd Dec due to being selected as the live game on BT Sport.

Annoying time to play, but if we win the prize money plus TV cash amounts to £100k!

@Elite_pie don't get too exited about 100k....maybe that goes towards tribunal liabilities:frantics:

Well supposed AH wanted the 100k from the JPT to go towards a new PA system and scoreboard. I thought it was one or the other!

Oxford City will be interesting to see at Meadow Lane.

I just hope we treat this cup with a lot more respect because the money gained from doing well has more positives. It's also good to see us making the third round and to play a potential big team.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
