Rumoured to be signing for Lincoln in next few days. Might be a bum steer, but if he goes there, then they are looking a little more solid now! Good signing for whoever gets him.

Fee agreed with unnamed club. Just needs personal terms and medical to be completed. Would have been a good one for Notts, but can’t see it with Dennis and Hemmings as well up front.

Well supposedly we was going to be signing a player this week, nothing has been announced so far - yet I doubt this is the player that Leigh Curtis said he would swim the Trent naked if we signed.

Lincoln have been getting impressive gates, so they may be more suited and we are currently blessed up front.

I still wouldn't say no to John Akinde because 4 good strikers, well it gives you that added comfort and really the majority of other positions can be filled by technically good young players. Only 3 really could do with having that experience we require to push on now.

You have got to ask yourself why a player if his undoubted ability has only ever played at the level he has.

Let’s hope there is major issue with Lincoln and he comes to us ... he would be great asset to County.

I would pass, get in a young quality striker eager to work his way up the leagues. John Akinde is okay but he would be too much for the squad being built.

@Magic magpiewe apparently have spent over 200k on 2 strikers...so wheres the money for another "big" transfer fee?

That much already blimey ... not used to County spending money

I would take him but it would be a little overkill for what we have.

If the money is there, I would prefer it to be spent on the midfield because we need someone who can play the ball. If Lincoln pull it off they will be good promotion candidates too.

me too, i think he looked strong and decent against notts at home.

if we had three strikers and stead, it would make rotation and form better. i dont think we will be signing another striker or keeper though.
