Good morning everyone, it’s been a cold night out there, the coldest so far I think, I’ve got a gadget that measures the outside temperature and the minimum overnight low was 3 degrees.

Mrs Big Tone has a friend coming round for coffee this morning so I’ll probably make myself scarce and wash the car, I’ve not done it since we bought it and that’s nearly two months ago, tut tut.

No running today I’ll save myself for the park run but we’ll probably have a little walk to get some steps in, I did 12,000 yesterday. :clapping:

My favourite night of the week tonight, curry night, we are having Chicken Vindail and I've got a bottle of McEwens whiskey beer which was on special offer at Morrison’s, I’m not sure I’ll like it as it’s beer blended with whiskey so I only got one just to try it, for research purposes you understand.

@GrannyPie update-I had a day off visiting today but @william1984 and @Harrys_Mummy went instead.They were both concerned that  @GrannyPie was sleeping for most of their visit, though the nursing staff weren't  worried.I decided to phone the hospital and ask for myself as the nurses sometimes only give detailed updates to a spouse. The nurse I spoke to said that her blood pressure was stable and her blood sugar level was within the limits they expect .She added that  a skin specialist had visited and taken a biopsy .So hopefully they will be giving her some of the creams she had smothered on her last time she reacted this way.The oxygen tube placed in her nose has also been removed. The nurse also said that she understood why William and Vicky were concerned but assured me that they were happy with granny's  progress.Tomorrow I'm visiting with @Magic magpie's mum and I'm hoping I'll be able to report more positive news,

Thanks for keeping us nformed @super_ram it must have been a bit worrying that she was sleeping but I suppose that’s how the body heals itself. I’m glad you got a break from visiting because you need to look after yourself so that you are in good shape for when @GrannyPie comes home. I’m glad you’ve got lots of family and friends to share the load.

Take care old friend.

I've been dealing with hassle for the most part of the day.

It takes you to fight and speak like a lawyer to get people to admit that they have done you wrong, yet despite all this they don't apologise and all your are given is credit for what they pinched. Well, I'm the bigger person in most cases but it seems like today's been one of those nobody seems able to behave and people wonder why I get frustrated with their BS.

@Fan of Big Tone can I make a suggestion?

How about we mix this up and try to discuss not only our day but what's been happening in the world? Just avoid politics.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

busy day for me at work, i had a review due to the accident that was caused by my line manager being an idiot. its resolved and the review has shown i follow my training, so i am quite happy with that.

I'm very pleased you've been vindicated @liampie.It must be a weight of your mind even though you weren't to blame.Anything happen to the line manager?

I'd prefer a separate thread @CliftonMagpie,something like-"In the news today" with the date added.I often miss important items of news and there are often amusing items too.I agree NO POLITICS

The daily chat thread is really to discuss anything so please feel free to discuss world happenings, I do a thread like this on another forum and it is very popular the topics that are discussed are wide and varied with lots of replies, it doesn’t have to be just about what is happening in your life.

The only problem about a separate thread is it needs someone to start it and manage it, i.e. make sure it’s locked every day and start the new one off, so I think it’s probably best there is only one daily thread unless you’re volunteering @super_ram
