It's normal for smart runners to reserve their energy back not competing with the front runners or the main pack. Nonetheless, it takes nothing away from the amazing victory.

I noticed it mentioned he had an injury leading into it, just shows how hard work pays off.

It makes alot of sense to hold back some energy to get you past the finish line at the end, but that is quite remarkable.

Notts can't leave it that late to dig themselves out of trouble, I know they most likely will but its always a gamble.

I haven't given up on notts but its very close to the end. They need to get a move on like Alan.
