Two Charlton Loanees Sign

Featured Replies

It's all been go today at Notts they have signed two highly rated youngsters from Charlton on loan.

Both are under 21's internationals.

Andy Haworth has gone out on loan to Tamworth.

Ouch, why did we even sign Andy? He seemed okay in pre-season, the games I've seen him play for us it seemed he just needs game time. His crossing is poorer than JCR but TAMWORTH!! Pointless really. Shame some don't get to feature much, as some might prove their worth.

I noticed this earlier on sky, I've been out all day so I couldn't post it here. One's very highly rated (in my view), the other I know little about to be honest but both seem very promising. I hope they help us but I feel we do not need any more loan players, I'm not sure what the limit is but this must be near compete. In January we need to build a squad capable of gaining promotion back or surviving, loans only help to a point - no matter how good they're are. The balance between squad players and temp players needs to be respected.

welcome the new players to notts, i hope these are as good as they sound. we need to make sure that we are doing the right thing by own youngsters. additional players can be a good thing

hope they hit the ground running and chip in with good performances. yp!

Definitely need left back cover. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen Saturdays game. Is Freeman suspended Saturday? Waiting to see what else us going on behind the scenes at Notts.

There are some rumours going around that something is about to happen but nobody who knows is actually saying what it is.

Just hoping its not bad news! Maybe somebody is going to invest in us. It would have to be a decent amount to make a difference :)

Apparently it involves the return of a familiar face to the Lane.

Folks you can now read a little about the players, I've written a short piece and managed to speak with a Charlton fan.

You can read it here...

Hopefully this will be useful, as I always like getting an insight from a fan (rather than the club) because a fan will generally watch their development and a club is likely to say all their youngsters are 'good prospects' in order to attract interest.

OMG its not Peter Storrie is it? Or perhaps a dream team of Storrie, King and Armstrong-Holmes.

Oh heck, back on topic, yeah welcome to the new lads, but I wish we would go with our own.
