RIP Diogo Jota
Such awful news. My thoughts are with those who have passed. May they both rest in peace.

Sylvester Jasper to Notts?
Transfermarkt lists him mainly as a left winger, but he can also play attacking midfield and on the right. Sounds like the sort of player Notts might take a chance on. Not sure if the limit is two or three overseas players. If itβs three, thereβs a bit of wiggle room, and that could open the door for him. A signing like that might even hint at a change in formation, or maybe itβs about having players who can switch roles mid-game to keep things fresh.

Sylvester Jasper to Notts?
The Lower TiersEXCLUSIVE: Notts County Exploring Move For Sylvester Jasp...Notts County pursue ΕlΔ sk WrocΕaw winger Sylvester Jasper, facing European competition to sign the 23-year-old London-born left-wing talentI only put faith in official sources and PON, but Iβm still curious what others make of it all. Could there actually be something in it, or is it just another name thrown into the mix for the sake of it? The rumour mill reckons heβs signing in the next few days, so itβll be interesting to see if it gathers any proper traction.

Interview Sam Slocombe
Glad to see Sam Slocombe is staying with the club. I do wonder if the club realises just how critical some fans have been of him as a player. Itβs always puzzled me how quickly supporters can turn on someone like him. I wish him all the best in his new role, and I hope those same fans donβt start having a go at him now heβs a coach.

Fixture release day
Pleased with the fixture list overall. There are a few clashes with Forest, but these could be avoided if weβre marked as unavailable on those dates before the schedule is finalised. The opening part of the season looks promising and should give us a decent start.

Must-See Films in 2025
As mentioned, I haven't been to a cinema for years. It's been a long time, that's for sure. I never really liked the one in the city centre. Losing the old Odeon and cinemas on the outskirts left me feeling uninterested. People are much rowdier these days. While it can be fun to watch a film in a room full of strangers, it can also ruin the experience. Good luck finding suggestions.

Notts County Secure Signing of Veteran Midfielder Oliver Norburn
Signing Ollie Norburn presents a mixed bag of prospects for Notts. On one hand, his track record speaks volumes about his ability to influence play positively from the midfield. On the other, with so many options already available, itβs unclear how he will be integrated into the team structure. The injury concerns are real, but with proper management, they shouldnβt pose too much of a hurdle. It's exciting to think of the defensive robustness and the strategic depth he adds to the squad. Competition within the team, while healthy, must be managed astutely by the coaching staff to harness maximum efficiency.

Kaiserslautern v Notts
Last time I was in Germany, the food and beer were affordable, and the football was entertaining, even in the lower leagues. I need to check my dates, but one of the two friendlies might be possible.

Dan Crowley to become the club's saviour by being a player-manager? It guarantees his name on the team sheet, and he can't do much worse.

Stuart Maynard Calls for Collective Effort as Notts County Faces Colchester United
Maynard's openness about the team's challenges is appreciated. Colchester is in great form and their defence will be tough, but we can find gaps. It's good to have Platt and Abbott back, as depth is crucial. Crowley's return will boost our creativity. Fans' support at Meadow Lane can lift the team. With unity and focus, we can get a result against Colchester

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
Iβm optimistic about our chances against Peterborough, but weβll need to be much better defensively than we were last time out. Theyβve got players who can punish any lapses, so staying switched on for the full 90 minutes is a must. Offensively, Iβd like to see us use the flanks more effectively, crosses into the box could be our best bet. Itβs also a great opportunity for our squad to show they can compete with teams from a higher division. Iβm hoping Dan Crowley is fit because his energy and creativity could be a game-changer. Regardless of the outcome, this is a match to look forward to!

Where are they now: Alan Judge
Itβs hard not to feel a bit emotional thinking about Alan Judge. He was brilliant for us, and you could see his love for the game every time he played. That energy and drive were infectious, it lifted the whole team and the fans. Watching him move to Brentford was bittersweet because we lost a great player, but he went on to prove himself at a higher level. The leg break was devastating, though, and I donβt think he ever truly recovered his form after that.

Alassana Jatta's Ambitions for Notts County: Eyes on Double or Triple Digits
Jattaβs growth since joining in January has been amazing to watch. His ability to handle defenders and his knack for finding the net are unmatched. But beyond that, whatβs really impressive is his mindset. He talks about working hard and setting goals, and heβs not shy to admit that his teammates make him better. Itβs not often you see a forward give so much credit to the team around him. His bond with the fans, especially when he collected the flag, shows he values the support. Looking forward to seeing him thrive with The Gambia and come back to give his all for Notts.

Who is your Notts Man of the Match v Port Vale?
Aside from the goal, I thought Jacob Bedeau handled Port Vale very well. He was one of the main reasons they didnβt score more. Not that they could make do with the open net opportunity.

Stuart Maynard Prepares Notts County for Tough Port Vale Test: Alassana Jatta's Rising Influence
Itβs refreshing to hear a manager talk about the importance of every player, not just the stars. Maynardβs belief in squad depth is crucial, especially as the season progresses. Itβs clear that he has instilled a strong sense of unity in the team, which is evident in how they play together on the pitch. If we can keep this momentum going, thereβs no telling how far we can go this season. I hope the lads can handle the pressure against Port Vale, theyβre a tough team. Let's get those three points!

Stuart Maynard Hails Notts County Fans as the '12th Man' in 2-0 Victory Over Carlisle United
Maynard deserves credit for the way he's shaping this team. Heβs got them playing with a mix of flair and resilience, something that was evident in the victory over Carlisle. Jatta and Robertson returning and immediately making an impact is a testament to the depth and quality in this squad. Defensive efforts, especially Bass's crucial save, were outstanding. The support from the fans was also incredible, making their presence felt throughout the match. It's performances like these that build momentum and confidence going forward.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Blues (A)
Carlisle United could feel unlucky. They played much better than Morecambe but found us very resilient in defence. They were poor on goal but good at moving the ball forward. When was the last time we had less possession than our opponents? It says a lot, as we usually dominate possession. It was great to see Jatta back, even better when he scored the opening goal. Scott Robertson was also very good, and we missed his presence in previous games. Winning 2-0, despite the chances they created, was a good night for us.

Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Blues (A)
One thing is for sure, Notts need to attack as a team in the first half and not wait until the second to produce the goods. I am sure the Gillingham defeat has been frustrating for the players, as would conceding early against Morecambe. This is another tough task on paper and we need to play at our best. I wouldnβt change anything defensively, other than perhaps including Kellan Gordon. I think in midfield, if Scott Robertson is fit, allow him to partner Matt Palmer and give George Abbott a chance to impact the team from the bench. I fully expect David McGoldrick and Dan Crowley to start. I donβt see Jevani Brown starting as I think Maynard sees him as a good attacking option for the bench.

Jacob Bedeau: 'Facing My Former Club Is Special, but Notts County Come First!'
Really liking what Iβm seeing from Bedeau so far. Heβs calm, collected, and clearly a leader both on and off the pitch. His comments about focusing during possession play show he understands where we need to improve, itβs been an issue in a few games this season. I also thought his comments on Morecambe were interesting. Heβs got respect for his old club, but itβs clear that heβs committed to our success now. His experience in League One will be vital as we push for promotion, and Iβm excited to see how he handles this weekendβs match. Heβs quickly becoming one of my favourite players.

Are Pep And Jose That Good?
Both are good managers in their own rights, but I think Jose Mourinho is the better manager. Pep Guardiola works and requires a much higher budget. Are they as good as the hype? Probably not, but I do acknowledge that they are very good at what they do. Mourinho has spent money with clubs like Chelsea, but he has worked and done well for teams where they are not as fortunate. Pep wouldnβt manage an Italian team in my opinion as they donβt spend nearly as much as Spanish or English clubs would.
