  1. Tommy Johnson was a brilliant player for Notts, good read this.
  2. Words escape me with the quoted part. Kevin Nolan and the players have had recognition for saving the club from the drop which seemed impossible, cancelling the season awards is a different thing in my book.
  3. It was just toxic around Meadow Lane under the Trews. The whole debt went to their head and the way the club was being ran, there was no doubt we would be a conference team. I am surprised by how quickly things have changed. Hard work will do that but it just shows you how poorly we have been under operation. Good read Joe.
  4. I think we can afford to have two players play poorly, I do agree with the article @Chris wrote but thought Carl Dickinson did okay considering. At the end of the day it was a comfortable win.
  5. In one hand you cannot stereotype people, as there are idiots who wear Notts shirts. Yet there is a growing issue with thick pre teens who have watched to many Danny Dyer films. Yet as stated before, its a minority thing and all Notts fans should try to get a long.
  6. Barnet have draw 3 of their last 4 games 2-2. I can see this being a draw myself, as neither team will want to lose or sit back and defend. Yet I do not think it will be very high scoring, 0-0 or 1-1. Knowing Notts they will invite Barnet to take the lead and remain the whole game being unlucky not to have won. Stick with the same team that played Doncaster.
  7. A must three pointer, I do not care how it happens but it must. I hope to see three changes at the very least but would understand Kevin Nolan choosing to stick with certain players.
  8. This was the worst performance under Kevin Nolan. Josh Clackstone was prone to being beaten and he simply made several comical errors, he needed replacing after they scored. He just looked like a fish out of water, there was no positive signs from him. I felt Haydn Hollis did well, you could see that he was trying. I never felt like Notts would score today but Stevenage's double goals in quick succession sealed our fate. After that you could tell which players just wanted to go home and who wanted to try and salvage something, yet there was nothing to our performance. At no point did I think or feel we could score. That is just how bad we was today! Its one game so no real concern but it will be interesting to see how they comeback from this.
  9. Worst performance under Kevin Nolan, we will see what he is about as the manager because Sheridan wouldn't make any forced changes. Nolan will have to after that comical run out, defensive errors cost us any chance of salvaging the game and by far this shows that teams who have a better understanding can overturn us. Its just one game but it was that terrible. See how they come back from here and hope its not a Mansfield type game.
  10. Alan will quickly need to learn that any offers need to be targeted across a spectrum of fans, as he won't please everyone. Students will be next.
  11. Out of the last dozen managers, Nolan is the first I actually listen out for after a game. He speaks with sense and passion, its good to have someone like that here. He reminds me of Martin Allen in a sense.
  12. Crawley, Cheltenham and now Leyton Orient, all big wins for Notts. Poor teams but all showed some fighting spirit, maybe not so much Cheltenham but they moved the ball around well. Big test is about to come but I feel we have more structure under Nolan. He is doing well and credit must fall equally on his and the players shoulders. I feel quite proud to be a Notts again, the lads are showing the spirit we have wanted to see all season. Well done Notts!
  13. Notts had a spring in their steps from scoring the first goal, after Crawley scored I though here we go but credit to the players they held up and scored again. Forte could be a big player us.
  14. If he can hold the ball, win headers and do the running which Stead can't. Notts should go for it but I can't help but feel the BBC have jumped the gun over a comment. I don't expect him to arrive at meadow lane any time soon.
  15. Limited and bleak football today. The performance was a step back, just little threat and we hung on at times.
  16. Alan has stuck to his word when it comes to announcements so far correct? Makes you think he is a good judge of character or knows things are already in the process of being tied. @Super_Danny_Allsopp will know what I mean regarding the previous regime jumping the gun.
  17. Will we have a manager by then? I hope for Alan Smith's sake he doesn't take charge of another game, its not his fault but a derby game is one you need to have the knowledge at hand. I have heard rumours that the manager is set to be appointed on Friday morning. No idea who it is but will feel happier once there is someone in charge.
  18. No fuel in the derby game, just broken rails and plenty of excuses.
  19. If only the players had half of the pride of PON. Good write up @notts-joe
  20. The squad need to work out a system which can allow them to play the ball forward. Very early on against Accrington Stanley we ran out of ideas, then struggled to match their work rate. The 2016/17 squad are up and down, time for consistency.
  21. Impressive display by the youth team, they deserved the victory.
  22. We should not single out one player or hype them up before the season begins. I would much prefer to see Notts praise players when and where it is due. Stead is a good player. But I expect more from Sheridan myself.
