  1. Kristian Dennis did well. I never expected him to stay in the National League for long. He was always too good for that. He has to be one of the better pre-Reedtz strikers we’ve had.
  2. Good blog. I do agree that it seems to be trying to focus too much on liked players and in this case, the writer should have made it clear. This would give them credibility instead of trying to seem like they recommend the players off their own back. If they wrote about players linked, it would have been just as good. It’s well-written though.
  3. As much as we like DKE, he doesn’t bring us anything we need. I would have thought fighting for his place at Boreham Wood would be a priority. Unless he has already sorted out his next move and is just waiting for them to put in the offer?
  4. Welcome home, David McGoldrick. We are absolutely thrilled to have you back with us. You can count on our full support as we know that you will give it your all and put in every effort you can. We are delighted with the signing and your comments have been fantastic. It is clear that you are dedicated to the team and we are confident that you will make a great contribution. We look forward to seeing you in action.
  5. Welcome home, David McGoldrick. We are thrilled to have you back and will give you our full support. We know that you will give it your all and put in every effort you can. We are happy with the signing and your comments have been great.
  6. I think Enzio could do well for Newport County, they like players who have the quality to score goals and have other players who can defend.
  7. Josh Windass popped up at the right time to get the goal, I felt happy for Sheffield Wednesday. They’re a big club to be sitting in League One.
  8. Pleased for Tiernan Brooks, he deserves the call-up and hopefully he does manage to get game time. There’s one thing to loan him out, yet another to give him the time to improve.
  9. AFC Wimbledon have done well to bring back Jake Reeves, it’s a good signing and he should do well for them. I wonder if he wants to see out his career with them?
  10. Nice one, @nightOWL. I wish Sheffield Wednesday all the best with their return to the Championship. I hope Notts can make it there in my lifetime
  11. Will Randall looks like a very exciting player who has finally started to show his potential. If he has a slow start, I think we should support him and see if he can bring out his best. If he hits the ground running, he will become a fan favourite.
  12. Good luck to Ed at Gateshead. I always felt he gave his all for us and it was a shame to see him leave, but it was time for both parties. He needs to be playing regularly and I can’t see him competing with what we have.
  13. Welcome to PON, @Ohh Tommy Johnson. Its good to see you joining in.
  14. Best of luck to Notts County’s Tiernan Brooks as he represents Ireland U21 in Austria!
  15. This is a no-brainer for me. McGoldrick is exactly what we need right now. He is a proven goalscorer, a leader and a winner. He knows the club inside out and he would bring back some pride and passion to our team. He would be an instant upgrade on our current strikers and he would make us more competitive and more attractive to watch. I hope this rumour is true and we can get him on board as soon as possible.
  16. I don't have many memories of him as a footballer. What I do remember is him taking photos in the club shop and his big, fuzzy hair. It's surprising to learn that he played so many games for Notts. I wish him all the best.
  17. It’s a great day that we’ll always remember when watching this back. It marks the start of a new era for our football club and community. We’ve grown so much.
  18. I believe the tactics are not far from being improved. Once we have sorted out all the signings, that will be a start. It clearly works for us and Luke Williams. It might be a case of giving the centre-backs less freedom moving forward or beyond the halfway line. However, the more we can sit on the ball, the less we will need to rely on defending. Keeping the players alert can involve working harder on leadership and communication.
  19. Hi @HarryNCFC0, I am glad you have found your way into PON. Welcome from me. ????
  20. Hi, @McSwegansRightPeg. Welcome to the PON site and community.
  21. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Notts County under the Reedtz brothers’ ownership. They have already brought success back to the club with promotion to League Two, but I believe there is potential for even more success in the future.
  22. Joel Taylor was a player I liked a lot. He had an excellent cross and an impressive amount of pace. When he got on the ball, the other team seemed concerned about how to get it back from him. I wish him all the best at Chester.
  23. Ollie King deserved better treatment. For once, I felt inclined to buy the Nottingham Evening Post (NEP), but now I feel like I would if I went near someone showing obvious signs of COVID-19.
  24. The ups and downs of these teams remind us that nothing is certain in football. It’s a game full of surprises and anything can happen on any given day.
  25. Great news! I am pleased that we have the keeper position sorted. If Luke Williams plans to bring in another, do be it. Yet I think Sam Slocombe is good enough to keep the first place in the team.
