  1. Hello, welcome to PON @Nay123! Glad to have you here.
  2. Hello, welcome to PON! It's good to see another new member sign up.
  3. Very good interview by Kyle Cameron and David Jackson. BBC Radio Nottingham has done a few good stories now. It makes a change from their short four-paragraph articles.
  4. This sucks; I wish Sochaux all the best with their survival.
  5. Poor Barnsley, I am glad that they have been charged because these things shouldn’t happen. When they need the help of the EFL, they will go running, as will other clubs, but when it comes to abiding by rules to keep the game safe, that’s a different thing!
  6. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Bryn Roberts.
  7. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Jones10. There's nowhere better to discuss Notts.
  8. It's always great to hear coaches reflect so candidly on their team's performance after a match. Rather than dwelling on the defeat, Williams has chosen to highlight the invaluable experience gained by his squad. Playing against top-tier teams is integral to Notts County's progress and improvement as it uncovers areas that must be strengthened before the season starts. While it's unfortunate that we lost the match, fans can find solace in the fact that these experiences are molding a stronger team for the new season. A coach's positive attitude in the face of defeat can heavily influence the team's morale and motivation. Warmly looking forward to what the new season brings!
  9. It’s a bit of a weird move in my eyes, but I think Marc Bola will still succeed. The Turkish league does have some quality, and faster players tend to do better there.
  10. It is a very good interview; it shows a lot. Everyone knows that the UK tabloids are scumbags. It was quite clear that there was something going on with Dele Ali when he was still at Spurs. I thought it was a bad drinking habit, but we know differently now. It’s good that Ali has good friends and family. Everton supporting him is another good thing.
  11. No way would Notts have beaten Stoke, but it’s possible that we could have given them more of a game. I don’t blame the players for the mistakes. Stoke pressed and hassled the players, making it hard. Even if it was a cup game, I wouldn’t be mad. You have to admit we were beaten by a team that wanted to put on a dominating performance in a friendly. Beating us has no bearing on our season or theirs; it just looks good for them.
  12. I hate hearing about news like this. Just because it’s been adjourned, it doesn’t mean they have survived because they still have to go back. It’s just horrible for the fans of a football club in this situation.
  13. I would have liked him to come here, but I understand that he’s not quite ready for first-team football. I think that’s why we signed Aidan Stone. I hope Mair does well with Gateshead. He could find himself back in the Football League in a few years’ time, and I’m sure he’ll attract interest.
  14. I can’t say I’m bothered about queuing with others on a warm day inside the club shop just to get a photo for a few seconds with the National League playoff final trophy. It’s great for those who don’t mind, but it’s not for me.
  15. Well done to Jon Stead. I hope he enjoys the role and does well.
  16. I hate when fans direct their frustration at the players; it’s just unwarranted. I can understand if something major was done or said that upset people, but even Bajami had issues at Wrexham after his mistakes. He apologised and took no end of stick for it. I think quite a lot of those abusive fans thrive on it.
  17. Hello, welcome to PON @Paul Manterfield. I hope to see you contribute to the site.

  19. Hello, @nottsfan81. Welcome to PON, you won't regret signing up.
  20. Pressure affects differently for every team. The past season showed us how Wrexham and Notts delivered in stressful conditions. If Chesterfield and Oldham can manage their nerves and keep delivering results, we might see a title race similar to the last season's. It's going to be a monumental psychological battle more than anything.
  21. The new kit's alright, could have been much better though.
  22. Jump in @rohan, tell us about yourself if you can. Welcome to PON.
