  1. I can't wait to see what else Macari has in store for us. His debut was smashing, and if his performance since then is anything to go by, I'd say we've got a real talent on our hands!
  2. It's pretty shocking to hear that Williams had to shout himself hoarse. The lads need to buck up and start listening. These are crucial times and every instruction counts.
  3. It's admirable to see Williams belauding the opposing team's manager. Showcases sportsmanship and his determination to aspire towards Weaver's credibility. Excited to see how this ends.
  4. Welcome to the family, Lewis! Stoke gave you a good foundation; now it’s time to kick on. Can't wait to see how you take us forward.
  5. Luke Williams didn’t seem very pleased, which is unlike him. I’ve noticed that when we lose, the interviews tend to be shorter and more direct. Sometimes, you’d like to hear more, as I don’t appreciate questions about a previous match being asked in a press conference for the next game. It just seems negative, unless it’s relevant to the story.
  6. That’s a lovely looking Notts cap!
  7. This is dreadful, such a heartbreaking story. I hope they managed to commemorate the fan in some way.
  8. Hull City 2-2 Cardiff City Swansea City 1-0 Middlesbrough Barnsley 0-1 Charlton Athletic Port Vale 2-1 Wigan Athletic joker Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Morecambe Newport County 1-1 Grimsby Town Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 Wealdstone Dorking Wanderers 0-1 Woking
  9. There was a time this season when it seemed like we could defeat any team, and I don’t fault fans for feeling this way, as we did perform well. Whatever has transpired since then, Saturday could be a significant step towards rectifying it. I also anticipate Harrogate to be a challenging opponent who won’t let us play our usual game. Notts needs to think outside the box and ensure victory.
  10. Alan Sheehan was a commendable captain and player for Notts, and I’ll always wish him the best. If management is his ambition, I hope he achieves it.
  11. Turkey is certainly not a place I’d like to be imprisoned for violence, but I suspect everything will be dealt with internally since it’s a football match. The culprits definitely need to be fined and banned from the game. There’s absolutely no place for such nonsense in football.
  12. Notts seemed to be defending as if we had players in the wrong positions, with only Jodi Jones and Macaualy Langstaff appearing at ease. I’ve seen remarks suggesting Jodi was partly to blame for the second goal, which I believe is a valid point.
  13. It's always refreshing to see Williams' transparency in his statement. Identifying the drawbacks and having a clear strategy is key to success. A game, after all, is not just 45 minutes but a full 90 minutes manifestation of straining and strategising.
  14. Enzio wasn’t the worst player we had, he just hit a slump and never recovered. In League Two, he was often our best player. I know we had a team that didn’t fight as hard as they could have, but he did. I wish him all the best.
  15. Dan Crowley is the obvious choice, but in my opinion, he’s the only real answer. I wish we could see more consistency from some of the other players. The team has been performing well, but there have been periods when certain players could have performed much better.
  16. Yes, Walsall might surprise some fans. I’ve noticed a lot of people on social media acting as if we’ve already won and that our result will lead to their manager being sacked. I dislike this attitude as it makes us look like a foolish group of supporters. I don’t want to leave Meadow Lane feeling embarrassed. Hopefully, the team can secure a good result.
  17. This is the beauty of PON, it offers nuggets of history and a pleasant platform to discuss Notts without any nuisance.
  18. I’m not certain, it seems like a move larger clubs can execute successfully, and I doubt we have the fan base to pull it off, to be honest.
  19. It’s frustrating when teams dwell on their past glories, leading to their downfall due to poor performance. A draw might have spared them, but they need to confront and accept relegation. They should aim to bounce back stronger.
  20. Why would you even consider touching the ball? It’s absolute folly, such a foolish error to commit.
  21. Hello, @TT1970. Welcome to the community and PON.
  22. Hello, @Strawb66. Welcome to the community and PON.
  23. Cameron's hitting the nail when acknowledging the need for increased concentration. Fingers crossed for a good performance against Walsall and a stronger showing in the back.
  24. Right then, can't wait for this match tomorrow. Sure, Walsall’s had it rough, but they've got decent team, haven't they? This match is going to be a belter, mark my words.
  25. I love Cameron's honesty and humility. Yes, we've been sloppy, but there's a collective effort to improve. Good luck against Walsall.
