  1. Salford won’t be easy, but I like that Paterson isn’t underestimating them.
  2. Love the attitude. More goals from Jodi would be huge.
  3. Sounds like he’s got a bit of everything. Looking forward to seeing him play.
  4. Oxford United 1-1 Portsmouth Stoke City 0-1 Derby County Joker Exeter City 2-0 Blackpool Mansfield Town 2-2 Doncaster Rovers Gillingham 1-0 Walsall Oldham Athletic 0-1 Colchester United Tamworth 2-1 Scunthorpe United Wealdstone 1-1 Truro City
  5. @Mapperley Pie, I don’t think there’s anything behind the rumour. It feels like something people have just made up without any real evidence.
  6. Thanks for the update. It’s good to share things like this, and I find it interesting. I think having open conversations like this really helps.
  7. Gagliardi speaks well. Calm, honest, and focused. Refreshing change from the usual football talk.
  8. Bradford City 0-1 Wycombe Wanderers Joker Doncaster Rovers 3-2 Exeter City Lincoln City 1-1 Reading Plymouth Argyle 0-0 Barnsley Barnet 0-2 Fleetwood Town Cambridge United 1-0 Cheltenham Town Grimsby Town 2-1 Crawley Town Walsall 2-1 Swindon Town
  9. “Talk is cheap” - proper mentality that. Let the football do the talking.
  10. Encouraging signs going into the season. Still a few sloppy moments but much better shape overall.
  11. He might not be first choice, but getting him on loan is still a smart move. It’s good to bring in someone with his skills, especially from a big club like Manchester United. He’s probably really talented, since he’s come through their academy. That means he’s been trained well and knows how to play properly, which can help our team a lot. It’s great that we’ve got him for the whole season. I just hope Man United don’t take him back if he does well! They’ve not been very good at defending lately, but I’m only messing about. It’s a really good signing.
  12. Encouraging that he wants the players fitter and pushing. Pre-season done right will pay off.
  13. Never met Kim but her name’s always popped up. Shows what real passion for a club looks like.
  14. Even if he does well and improves, Notts will probably bring in another keeper, and like Tiernan Brooks, Harry Griffiths could end up moving on. I hope I’m wrong, though, and I do wish him all the best while he’s with us.
  15. It’s only Monday and I’m already counting down to the weekend again. The heat is awful today. When it’s like this, all I want to do is stay in my room where it’s cool and quiet.
  16. Can’t believe this! Thought he'd be our number one for years.
  17. I trust the board will make the right choices for the club. Hopefully this also helps Martin Paterson get useful feedback that he can think about. I haven’t really made my mind up yet. I’d rather wait and see how things play out, just like I would with new signings.
  18. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. It's much appreciated. Fingers crossed the problem can be sorted without too much trouble.
  19. Hope he keeps the attacking style we’ve grown to love.
  20. I’ve not heard of them before, but if they manage to stay up in their first season, that would be a big achievement. It would help them build a stronger place in Spain’s top division. I don’t think Spanish football is as exciting as it used to be. It feels like it’s lost a bit of its spark.
  21. @Countyman, Notts did pass on Aston Villa’s message through their social media, so they did show their respects in the end. Rest in peace, Dick Edwards. He’ll be remembered fondly.
  22. If I had a billion pounds, I’d buy Notts. The first thing I’d do is bring in a proper security firm to deal with the troublemakers. I’d ban them for life. I wouldn’t mind being controversial if it helped create a better atmosphere for the loyal, sensible and committed fans. Just picture doing this with some of the worst fanbases in the country, some of them make Twitter trolls seem polite. Clearing out the bad apples would make it much easier to build the right team around the club. I wouldn’t have a problem with criticism, but if someone can’t give proper feedback, I wouldn’t hesitate to show them the door. I’d change most of the coaching staff too. I’d bring in top coaches and really push for developing local talent. Fans would get a say in key decisions. I’d also put serious money into the squad so the club could grow and reach its full potential.
