Who's your Man of the Match v Shrewsbury?
It’s brilliant to see so many fans vote for Nick’s performance. It shows how much his return means to the team and the supporters. We’re at a point where a bit of spark can make all the difference. Nick’s energy and sharpness could be just what we need to lift the level on the pitch.

The Challenge We Face
Much better from the team tonight, and the result should help get the season going. It’s the kind of win that can lift confidence and build momentum. I hope the club can move forward from here. It’s still early days though, and with teams not yet settled, anything can happen. The main thing is not to panic too soon. There’s a long way to go, and things will start to even out once everyone finds their rhythm.

A newish Notts podcast
The sound quality isn’t great. It goes up and down, which makes it hard to enjoy properly. Because of that, it’s not enjoyable. It could be much clearer.

Match Discussion: League Two - Shrewsbury Town (A)
Much better from Notts today. It’s good to see Tsaroulla get on the scoresheet, he’s deserved a moment like that. This result should calm a few nerves, even if Shrewsbury weren’t the strongest test. It’s still a step in the right direction. Hopefully Martin Paterson can build on this and put a decent run together. That would help fans stay grounded and avoid the usual panic after a poor result. I’m happy with the performance, but we’ve got to keep pushing. The players need to show they can do this week in, week out.

Who's your Man of the Match v Salford?
Sonny Aljofree looked brilliant at the back. In the first half, he won every header and really stood out. I think people might have missed how well he played, maybe because we lost or because the defence struggled at times. Matty Platt should have done better with the first goal, and Kelle Roos gave away the second. That didn’t help. Jacob Bedeau also had a tough game. He gave the ball away too often and was caught out of position quite a bit.

Flint signs for Walsall
He’s a decent defender, but it looks like his best days are behind him. For one season, though, it’s probably a smart move for Walsall. They need someone experienced at the back to bring a bit of calm and help steady the defence. He should do that well enough. I’m glad we didn’t go for him. We need younger, more promising players to grow and learn alongside Matty Platt and Jacob Bedeau. That’s where the future lies.

Didzy joins Barnsley
He might have ended up having another fairly average season with us, so this move could turn out to be a stroke of luck in the long run. I get why people are disappointed. He’s a top player and proved that across the two seasons he was with us. Most of the time, it was flashes of real quality that made him shine. Wishing him all the best in League One. He’s got what it takes to do well.

New signing Sonny Aljofree I assume
It looks like a smart signing, at least on paper. I do wonder if we’ve spent a bit more on wages, or if we’re holding money back to use in the January window. We might also be looking to put some of the Alex Bass fee back into the squad before the season kicks off. There’s still plenty of time for that to happen. It’s early days, but I’m pleased to see Sonny Aljofree join. Let’s hope he settles in well.

Martin Paterson Reflects on SV Darmstadt 98 Defeat but Sees Plenty of Positives
I’m beginning to understand why the owners liked Martin Paterson during the interviews. We’ve got a solid squad that’s built to do well in our division, and that kind of match-up shows he’s thinking clearly about what fits. Facing German second and third division teams has brought a fresh challenge. It’s helped us go up against sides with a different style and a good level of quality, which has added something useful to pre-season. The longer pre-season goes on, the more positive it feels. The signs are good, and the players seem to be responding well.

Notts County sign promising goalkeeper Harry Griffiths
A loan move could be a good idea to help him get some game time, but it would leave us short in that position. I don’t think Notts will carry more than two experienced goalkeepers, and with this new signing and Bass leaving, it feels like only one more will arrive. Let’s just hope whoever joins can help guide the lad and bring the best out of him.

Martin Paterson: A New Era Begins at Notts County
I was unsure what to expect, but Paterson comes across really well. He’s saying all the right things and seems to have a solid understanding of what this club stands for. I like how he talks about collaboration, data, and improving players. It’s modern thinking but grounded in reality, not just buzzwords. This could be a really smart appointment.

Crystal Palace Could be kicked out of the Europa League
Let’s be honest, Forest always find something to moan about. This time it feels like another case of them stirring the pot for the sake of it. The irony isn’t lost on anyone, given their owner’s past links with several clubs. I’m not sure if he’s still involved elsewhere, but I remember there being rules about him and Greek sides. There’s always been controversy around him. After all the drama they caused last season, it’s surprising no one called for them to be docked points. You’d think they’d count themselves lucky, not go looking for trouble.

Exploring ways to further strengthen the coaching and staff structure
Does the club really need someone as experienced as Neil Warnock involved in any role? His wages could probably be put to better use elsewhere in the club. That said, I’m not totally against the idea. It might turn out well, but there are still a lot of unknowns at the moment. I would have thought the club would focus on strengthening the coaching team before looking at anything like this.

pon and the new site
I don’t usually like change because it rarely feels like an improvement. There are a few things I miss, but I do like the new design and can see the benefits. Everything loads incredibly fast, which is a big plus. Overall, it looks very good.

Jake Tabor the Most wanted striker
He seems to have a good attitude and isn't letting things go to his head. There's no sign of arrogance or showing off, just a player who wants to put in the effort and improve. I hope he gets the chance to show what he can do. If he keeps working hard, he could go far in his career.

Tom Iorpenda joins on a season long loan
This signing feels like a real boost. At times, our midfield has lacked that bit of bite, but Iorpenda seems to bring exactly that. His height is a definite advantage, given how we’ve been physically outmatched in some games. Having someone with a strong presence should make a real difference. What’s also encouraging is that he’s already had experience in senior football with Hyde United and Huddersfield’s first team, proving he hasn’t just been sheltered in an academy setup. Hopefully, he sees this loan as a major opportunity and fully commits to it. If he can stay fit and avoid setbacks like the injury he dealt with last year, there’s every chance he’ll make a real impact. With the right mentality, he could turn out to be a key player in black and white.

Notts County Secure Season-Long Loan for Huddersfield Midfielder Tom Iorpenda
Really encouraged by this one. We’ve lacked a bit of bite in midfield at times, and Iorpenda seems to bring just that. The height’s a big plus, we’ve been overrun physically in a few games, so it’s great to have someone with presence. Hopefully he sees this loan as a big opportunity and gets stuck in. If he does, and avoids any setbacks like the injury he had last year, I think he could really shine in black and white.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Spireites (H)
I thought Notts looked motivated but couldn’t make the most of their early possession and opportunities. It’s a bit disappointing, especially given the occasion. Chesterfield’s defence initially looked poor and vulnerable, but they managed to make us look like the team struggling at the back. They deserve credit for raising their game and making it tough for Notts. The quality is there, but the habit of trying to walk the ball into the net holds everything back.

David McGoldrick, New Contract or Not?
I would offer him another year, but at a much lower wage. If it is true that he is our highest earner, I would adjust the offer to a fair amount, taking into account his age and the likelihood that he may not play every match, even though he has proven his value this season. Next season could be different, depending on the league. However, if he stays on high wages, I would decline.

Return of the seven.
Looking at it from a broader perspective, there's so much to be proud of with how the team's handled adversity. Even if the road’s been rocky, Notts has demonstrated resilience and character. The players have dug deep, despite the pressure. Sure, we've seen the gaps in our strategy, but isn’t that what builds character? Each creak in our formation has been an opportunity for growth. As our ranks refill with the return of essential players like Crowley and Jones, we’ll not only have the skills back, but more experienced players who’ve learnt to cope without their injured teammates.

Sam Austin: "The Magic of the FA Cup Is Alive and Well"
It’s brilliant to hear Sam’s positivity about the FA Cup. His memories of playing West Ham and nearly beating them reflect the competition’s beauty. I also like his point about fan support and how it can spur the team on. Let’s show up in full force and back the lads against Peterborough. A strong cup run could set the tone for the busy Christmas schedule.

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
I reckon this match could be a turning point for us in terms of confidence. Playing a team like Peterborough will be a real test of our progress, especially with how we’ve performed in League Two so far. They’ll look to dominate possession, but that might play into our hands if we can hit them on the break. Palmer’s vision and Jattai’s direct running could be the key here. I’d also like to see us make use of set pieces, we’ve shown we can be dangerous from dead-ball situations. It’s a tough draw, but we’ve got nothing to lose, and sometimes that’s when teams like ours thrive the most.

Who is your Man of the match v Chesterfield?
The poll is quite open between George Abbott and Jatta, with Kellan Gordon slightly behind the two leaders. I voted for Abbott. I thought his performance was excellent throughout the game.
