  1. Notts making us sweat! 3-2 now. Notts need to put their foot back on the pedal. Close the game out.
  2. Barnet are a poor side. Notts putting in a professional performance, dispatching them with ease. 6 or 7 would be nice!
  3. Barnet were destroyed 5-1 at home by Eastleigh. They beat Dagenham 2-1 away, but Dagenham will be fighting relegation I reckon. Notts are better than Eastleigh IMO so I'd expect Notts to win. 3-1 to the Pies.
  4. I'm happy. Good performance and 3 points in the bag. Onto Saturday we go.
  5. That Daniel Mooney looks like a decent player. One to keep an eye on.
  6. The start we all wanted. Notts need to push on and get a second. Don't give them any encouragement or way back into the game. That's more like it. 2 goals for Wootton. This has the makings of a very good night indeed.
  7. Here's a summary: Promoted to the Football League: Barrow & Harrogate Relegated to the National League: Macclesfield (Looks like they are going to be wound up but won't be replaced) Promoted to the National League: King's Lynn, Altrincham, Weymouth and Wealdstone Relegated from the National League: Ebbsfleet, Chorley, AFC Fylde The reason 4 were promoted and 3 were relegated is down to Bury's expulsion from the League. However it will be an odd number of teams again as Macclesfield will be thrown out.
  8. One thing we can be sure of, NA won't be able to use the grass/surface as an excuse! Our visitors are up and running after a 0-0 draw at home to Weymouth. The conditions were awful so I don't think much was learned about our opponents. They won the NL North Playoff beating Chester, York and Boston. They averaged almost 2 goals a game, but conceded 40 in 33 games. This is a game Notts should be winning if we want to go up. NA needs to take the game to them and not be as cautious as Saturday. This game is made for Enzio. Unleash him from the start. I know he's hit and miss but he's an incredible talent at this level.
  9. Did anyone pick up a copy of The Mag? It's excellent. A bit of bed time reading.
  10. It went as I thought it would do. Notts showed their superiority over an average Barnet side. Harrogate were brilliant yesterday, they dominated a decent Boreham Wood side. I think the final could be a game we remember for a long time. It has the potential to be an epic encounter. I think Notts will win. Weymouth Pie will be delighted. Weymouth are in the Southern Final as well.
  11. I watched Lawrie Dudfield at Cork City. You couldn't fault his application. Gave 100% and scored some important goals for the club. He played in the UEFA Cup qualifying rounds and helped the club win the Setanta Cup. He set up the winning goal in the final, even if it was a mishit shot!
  12. This is a game Notts would be expected to win and I think they will. The attitude is right. The team is in a good place. Confidence is high.
  13. An important win. Moves Notts into the top 3, top 3 means Notts avoid the first round of the playoffs which means only having to win 2 games to gain promotion. Also Notts are guaranteed a home tie if they finish 2nd or 3rd. That's a huge advantage.
  14. Notts are 16 points behind Barrow with a game in hand. To have any chance of catching them, Notts have to win this game. This has the potential to be a goal fest. Barrow score for fun, Notts aren't exactly goal shy. I'll go for 3-2 to Notts.
  15. Given the state of the pitch, 3 points is massive. Notts have to be aiming for 2nd or 3rd to avoid that extra game in the playoffs and it's well within reach at this point of the season.
  16. Their pitch is basically a sand pit at this stage. It's dangerous to play on IMO. Either the game should be switched to Meadow Lane or Notts get the points, it's not good enough for Fylde to get away with this again.
  17. Dover are a decent side. They haven't the best home record, but I have a feeling that will change tomorrow. 2-1 to the home team. Inih Effiong with both goals for the home side.
  18. Fylde are doing pretty well at the moment. Won their last 2. They have almost an identical record to Notts. They have 4 wins and 4 defeats. They are a decent side and will cause problems but Notts should be winning this game. 3-2 to Notts I reckon.
  19. Great win. Well deserved. At the risk of repeating myself, Notts have to be consistent and if they are, will be well in the mix for promotion.
  20. BW won 4-0 at home to Stockport on Saturday. They are 1 point above Notts in the table. Their danger man is Kabongo Tshimanga. He has 7 goals so far. He scored 2 on Saturday. Tyrone Marsh is handy as well. 5 goals so far. JOB will be a big loss to Notts. A draw is the likeliest result I reckon. 1-1 is my guess.
  21. Disappointing. The knives will be out for NA again. Notts are lacking consistency. Quality is there.
  22. Bromley are unbeaten in the league. 6 wins and 5 draws. They are by no means a spectacular side, but they are consistent and that goes a long way in the Conference. Cheek and Hackett-Fairchild are their main threats, but they play as a team and they have a never say die attitude. It's going to be a difficult game but I fancy Notts to go there and win. Yes Bromley are 2nd, but no way do they have a good a side as Notts.
  23. A game Notts should get something out of. Sutton aren't great. An uninspiring 1-1 draw I reckon.
  24. 3-0 flattered the home side. Notts could easily have scored 2 or 3. That's the positive, chances were created. Notts have a real issue with aerial balls into the box. Whether it's set prices or flick ons, the defending is dreadful. Not good in a league where a lot of goals come from set pieces.
  25. 3 words the opposition use to describe Solihull. Big. Powerful. Strong. When that doesn't work, they don't seem to have a plan B. They have lost 3 in a row after a flying start. Their dangermen are Blissett and McCallum. No sign of McCallum last Saturday so he might be injured. Blissett and himself are a handful. Blissett is isolated when McCallum doesn't start. I think they will go 5-4-1 if McCallum is missing. Notts have to have a high tempo. Harass them. If they do, Notts will win. 2-1 to Notts for me.
