  1. Matt Palmer had a good game. He gets my vote, but I would also acknowledge just how well Matty Platt and George Abbott played.

  3. I'm focusing on my rehabilitation and getting back on my feet. I know I haven't been around much, but I do check in from time to time without posting. It's not as if any of you will be missing me! In all seriousness, it’s not the same without PON, and I want to wish Super well too. I'm glad you shared with us the reason for your absence, as it helps ease our worries. That’s why I’m updating everyone and posting here myself. Get better soon, @super_ram. Wishing you a full recovery so you can join us again! No excuses.
  4. It's not a bad result. I don't like how some people are suggesting that Doncaster were much better than Notts; I don't think that was true. They created some good chances, but we played much better football overall. We controlled most of the game, while they mainly relied on counter-attacks. When the game went their way, it showed they are a decent team. I don’t believe we need to question every decision Stuart Maynard makes; we should have more faith in the players and the process. A point earned, but there's no need to be negative about it.
  5. Everything will be fine with Jatta representing his country! It's a big opportunity and could be life-changing for him. Come the new year, I believe he’ll celebrate his first full season with a hat trick, and he will thank us fans and the club for giving him the chance to grow. He’s excellent, very skilled with his feet and just as good in the air. He’d be a major threat from corners if we played more direct balls. Go on, Jatta, you’ll make us proud. Good luck!
  6. I believe the way everyone played made this quite challenging. I can understand how tough it is to name just eight players when all eleven contributed equally well. For me, it’s a choice between Jevani Brown, Alex Bass, and George Abbott. I chose Abbott; he was a real pleasure to watch in the first half and kept going in the second.
  7. Good result, I feel. I think Notts needed a second goal to see it out, and I think we tried to do that. Some fans kept calling for changes, but why risk Dan Crowley and still draw? There were not a lot of options to change things, and I think if David McGoldrick had been fit enough for selection, this game would have been something where he would have made a huge difference. The 70th minute mark was crying out for someone like him in the team, although I thought Jevani Brown did well. Unfortunately, I have no idea how he got a yellow for controlling the ball when a foul had been made on him.
  8. Derby County 2-1 Hull City Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Preston North End Cambridge United 0-2 Burton Albion Lincoln City 2-3 Stockport County Bradford City 1-0 Doncaster Rovers Newport County 0-2 Fleetwood Town Joker Barnet 3-1 Rochdale Ebbsfleet United 1-1 Wealdstone
  9. He just needed the minutes and a chance to settle in. When we signed him, I would have put him in my starting eleven, especially after Aaron Nemane left. He has done well so far, but if he's more comfortable on the right, we should play him there while Jodi Jones is out. We can put Kellan Gordon on the left and mix things up if needed, but I hope Michael Tsaroulla keeps improving.
  10. David McGoldrick has saved us many points this season. His moments of brilliance have led to numerous wins and draws, and the penalties he has converted have kept us at the right end of the League Two table. I believe he is proving to be more important this season than last, as he is showing some great form.
  11. We need to start getting the right results at home; the pressure should be on the visiting teams. Given how lush the Meadow Lane pitch is, we take great pride when we step onto the field. Our performances will improve, but for now, we must keep our form and make the most of the points we can earn. Stuart Maynard is doing very well, so I trust he will be ready for Saturday.
  12. I felt that David McGoldrick worked hard to chase the ball and played a big role in trying to create chances in the game. However, I believe Nick Tsaroulla stood out the most.
  13. Performances can fluctuate, but as long as we remain focused and strive for improvement, that’s satisfactory for me. I think we could really benefit from a boost in confidence, as we seem to be experiencing a challenging period right now. Still, it’s always a positive sign when we begin to find our rhythm during games. While we may have been a bit fortunate with the penalty decision, we certainly earned that point. Also, drawing 1-1 away from home is a clear indicator of a team chasing promotion; it’s certainly better than leaving with no points at all. These results show that we’re capable of competing, and if we can build on this, we’ll be in a strong position moving forward.
  14. Performances may vary, but as long as we stay focused and try to improve, that’s good enough for me. I believe we could use a boost in confidence; we seem to be going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment. However, it’s always encouraging when we start to find our rhythm in matches. We might have been fortunate with the penalty decision, but we definitely deserved the point.
  15. Cardiff City 3-1 Portsmouth Leeds United 1-0 Watford Bristol Rovers 1-1 Shrewsbury Town Peterborough United 2-0 Blackpool Fleetwood Town 1-0 Crewe Alexandra Tranmere Rovers 2-0 Grimsby Town Dagenham & Redbridge 1-1 Eastleigh Tamworth 0-1 Yeovil Town Joker
  16. I understand this is just an idea, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's good to share thoughts on topics that could help the site. I believe we should encourage healthy discussions, so I wouldn't support downvoting or disagree reactions. I would prefer to explain my reasons instead and not focus on reactions. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone or make them feel that their posts aren't valid.
  17. That's two now for Alex Bass, which shows just how important he is to our team. Well done to him!
  18. Let’s keep working with the young players, as they can gain valuable time and experience. I hope we rest our two forwards; I wouldn't want to risk injury to Jatta or Didzy. However, this raises the question of who could play in their place.
  19. Stuart Maynard has done remarkably well, and it's important to praise the owners for standing by him and providing a strong platform for his success. This shows their strong belief in his abilities. The recruitment this summer has been excellent, and we now have a squad that fights and defends much better than in previous seasons. Maynard is thriving with this support, and his tactical knowledge is becoming clearer as he grows more comfortable in his role. I am very pleased, as it reflects the hard work throughout the club and the brilliant effort our head coach puts in.
  20. There has been talk about something not quite being right. It's a shame that some people thought his performances were about him not being good enough for League Two, but how were they to know Cedwyn Scott has been struggling mentally? I wish him all the very best. I hope he can come back happier. His injury has caused him some issues, but I am sure he will come good. I wonder if his depression is also impacted by the loss of his friend, Macaulay Langstaff. Either way, it's not nice, and I send him my fullest support.
  21. AFC Wimbledon are a decent team. From previous encounters, we know we can't write them off. Even if we take the lead, it has to be protected. I hope we are more creative in midfield than we have been recently, because that always helps players get chances on goal. Notts can play nice fluid football, but when you have wingers like Kellan Gordon floating in good crosses and others with decent passes, you can't rely on one or two bodies to put those chances away. We need to make space and take any opportunities that present themselves. I think there will be more than 2 goals in the game. Provided we don't draw 2-2 and get the 3 points, I will be happy. We need to start winning our home games again.
  22. We are defensively stronger than in previous seasons, but it does seem to be at the expense of having another option up top. I thought the balance going into the season looked good, but then we lost players and relied on loan signings to fill the gaps. George Abbott has been a masterstroke of a signing, but Jevani Brown is yet to show why we needed him. It might seem harsh on Brown, but we don't seem to want to play him much, just as a player to come on from the bench. I'm sure he's had time to get his match sharpness back. I do think we are defensively better, which is good. I think we can build from the back and play some good football. I hope in January, we can get another winger for cover and a proper replacement for Macaulay Langstaff to balance out the squad. Defensively, we don't need anything but cover. With Adam Chicksen looking to be on his way out, he would need replacing, regardless of whether Abbott could cover on the right.
  23. Cedwyn Scott masks his struggles well, as I would never have guessed. I think it's a shame that he has taken so long to open up about it. Don't misquote me, it's good he has, but the moment it becomes a problem, I would hope any player would know the majority of fans would only want him to be happy and that Notts would support them. I guess Scott tried to be brave and keep it inside. It's good he's come out and is seeking the help needed.
  24. Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Swansea City Joker QPR 1-1 Portsmouth Blackpool 0-2 Barnsley Lincoln City 1-3 Birmingham City Bradford City 2-0 Gillingham Port Vale 1-1 Fleetwood Town Maidenhead United 0-1 Hartlepool United Sutton United 0-0 Oldham Athletic
  25. It might be a formatting issue. I’ll try to see if I can spot anything and let the gaffer know you mentioned it, @Robbie.
