  1. Happy Birthday, @super_ram. Share the cake amongst us! Hope you had a good birthday.
  2. Notts were disappointingly poor today, especially in defence. Colchester United weren’t much better, but they defended well. Notts only played in spells, and a stronger side would have taken all three points. I’m not sure why we waited so long to take off Curtis Edwards. He put in the effort but wasn’t really in the game. We needed more energy on the ball, and while he had some good moments, his decision-making let him down. A draw was probably fair, but without Alex Bass, Colchester would have caused us far more problems. Midfield felt empty at times, so it wasn’t just the defence struggling. Rod McDonald got caught out for the equaliser, and Matt Platt and Zak Johnson should have done better. I don’t blame Bass – a defender should have marked the scorer.
  3. Kellan Gordon or Conor Grant would have been worthy of recognition, though Grant faded in the second half. Notts County struggled defensively, and the absence of Jacob Bedeau was clear to see. The backline looked shaky for much of the game, and without Alex Bass in goal, things could have been far worse.
  4. Granny Pie was a wonderful lady who made PON such a fun place to visit. She brought joy and warmth to everyone around her, and her spirit truly brightened our days. Although she is greatly missed, her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. I am sending my love to Chris, Super, and all the family during this sad time. Please know that you are in my thoughts, and I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared.
  5. I am not really into ice hockey or Nottingham Panthers, but with them being the nearest team I do occasionally look out for them and I do hope they do well.
  6. I have not been up to much, not a lot going on and I am just recovering still from my leg break. I am hoping to be aid-free in a month or two, but the most frustrating part is the time it takes. It's worse than watching paint dry.
  7. Didzy has been great this past month, so I hope his contributions and performances get noticed because I do agree David McGoldrick deserves it. What other player his age is showing he's not lost a step playing football?
  8. Worst episode stand ever. I don't understand the aim of the design. The Dragon is a nice feature, but it looks like someone has been building sandcastles. It's very ugly. I'm not saying this to be mean or because of any rivalry with Wrexham, but because it's genuinely disgusting.
  9. I wish we would see him in the starting line-up more often. He's a good player and establishing himself as a regular starter would be beneficial. He has always looked very capable. Sometimes, you want him to take on his man more directly, but I believe he and Jodi Jones could form a great partnership out wide. His first goal was long overdue, and I'm pleased he has now scored.
  10. So sad to read this. Still remembered and never forgotten, Big Tone! I bet he's delighted to know he still has fans.
  11. I have voted for Nick Tsaroulla. I feel he's been in good form and has topped a good performance with a good goal. Though, David McGoldrick was tempting to vote for!
  12. Yeah, that is heavy-handed moderation where the people doing those roles seem more intent on alienating people than helping them understand the rules. I would certainly keep away from the discord channel, it sounds like it's run by people who like finding fault. You were probably better off ignoring the video that criticised them.
  13. Notts are on fire at the moment, keeping us firmly in the running for the automatic spots. Interesting to see there had been comments about scoring twice in the first half, which happened, but unfortunately, a third goal didn't come. Let's not be disheartened by not keeping another clean sheet. Three points on the road, especially against a team like Gillingham, have to be respected. They might be struggling, but we know they can be a tough game. So, I am delighted for Nick Tsaroulla and David McGoldrick. Didzy's goal was pure cheek!
  14. It's the result we needed to maintain our form. Yes, a late goal for Gillingham, but it's a spirited performance by a team who is delivering right now. Nick Tsaroulla finding the net is just perfect. I am pleased for him because he always works hard to make an impact. We should take this as a stepping stone towards greater success, ensuring we carry this momentum forward into our next matches. Each player's dedication is truly inspiring.
  15. It's good to see you, @KB1862. I haven't committed to BlueSky, but I think it's much better than X. People are more willing to discuss and be part of the community. There are a lot fewer cliques or people who think they are above others, that's for sure.
  16. The Football League World just make up stories as they go along. They are usually far from the truth when they predict something will happen. I would be surprised if we managed to secure his loan spell. As for Macaulay Langstaff, I think it's just wishful thinking and hype about something that likely won't happen. I can't see Millwall wanting to cover most of his wages if he returns on loan. They would want us to pay the majority, and we simply wouldn't be able to.
  17. Burnley 3-1 Watford Joker QPR 1-2 Preston North End Blackpool 1-3 Stevenage Northampton Town 0-0 Charlton Athletic Chesterfield 2-2 AFC Wimbledon Morecambe 0-3 Bromley Hartlepool United 2-0 Yeovil Town Wealdstone 1-3 Dagenham & Redbridge
  18. Luton Town 1-1 Swansea City Plymouth Argyle 2-1 Oxford United Blackpool 1-3 Rotherham United Joker Cambridge United 0-0 Shrewsbury Town Crawley Town 0-2 Stevenage Gillingham 2-1 Salford City Harrogate Town 1-1 AFC Wimbledon Newport County 0-0 Carlisle United
  19. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Take some time to familiarise yourself with the site and once you do, you will find it very good and straight forward. Good choice of usernames! @Jatta1999
  20. Well done to George Abbott. I think he was brilliant during November, and it would be great to see him continue his fine form in December and into January. No doubt he is a big player for us, and having him for the full season is massive.
  21. I watched the game at home, thanks to Sky. I thought we did well in how we held onto the ball, and a big part of that was due to Matt Palmer. He got us moving, which I personally think only David McGoldrick came close to. So, I have voted for Palmer because I think he did the most throughout the game in a consistent manner.
  22. It sounds like a good plan to add these. I wasn't aware that they could be given. I thought the new system just issued them automatically, so that would give a lot more flexibility. There are many different badges that could be introduced.
  23. I found it an entertaining read, very enjoyable. Isn't it always the same with Notts? When times get tough, the negative comments fly and the players get unfairly criticised, as if they don't care or put the effort in. As for Stuart Maynard, some fans who dislike him will never accept him as our head coach and just wait for those moments to claim he's not good enough. I try to focus on the positives, but unfortunately, a small vocal minority of our fans don't.
  24. It should be a very good game, even though the squad's morale might be affected after losing to Peterborough. They gave a good account of themselves and really could have won, though some will say they should have. However, that's irrelevant now. We have to do our best to get the right result against Walsall. Would I take a point? Yes, but I am hoping we can show enough quality to come back home with all three points. Defensively, Notts just have to take their time and not make rash decisions. We have been immense this season at the back, so if we are solid in this area, we'll be better up front.
  25. I voted for Matty Platt. I thought he was the rock in our defence and kept us structured against a team that could skilfully create chances. It's a shame he went off. I hope it's not a bad injury.
