  3. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Take some time to familiarise yourself with the site and once you do, you will find it very good and straight forward. Good choice of usernames! @Jatta1999
  4. Well done to George Abbott. I think he was brilliant during November, and it would be great to see him continue his fine form in December and into January. No doubt he is a big player for us, and having him for the full season is massive.
  5. I watched the game at home, thanks to Sky. I thought we did well in how we held onto the ball, and a big part of that was due to Matt Palmer. He got us moving, which I personally think only David McGoldrick came close to. So, I have voted for Palmer because I think he did the most throughout the game in a consistent manner.
  6. There will be games like this. The only thing we can ask is that the players give 100%, and I believe they did that. The Walsall keeper made some good saves, but I think had it ended 3-1 the score would have looked worse. The fact that we managed to pull it back to 3-2 brings some perspective. I would like to think that had we scored earlier, it would have encouraged us to go on and win the game. We were unlucky at times at the back, but we need to be more aware because that's how you reduce the chances teams get. I am not disheartened; with quite a few key injuries, I think those stepping in are doing well enough.
  7. It sounds like a good plan to add these. I wasn't aware that they could be given. I thought the new system just issued them automatically, so that would give a lot more flexibility. There are many different badges that could be introduced.
  8. I found it an entertaining read, very enjoyable. Isn't it always the same with Notts? When times get tough, the negative comments fly and the players get unfairly criticised, as if they don't care or put the effort in. As for Stuart Maynard, some fans who dislike him will never accept him as our head coach and just wait for those moments to claim he's not good enough. I try to focus on the positives, but unfortunately, a small vocal minority of our fans don't.
  9. It should be a very good game, even though the squad's morale might be affected after losing to Peterborough. They gave a good account of themselves and really could have won, though some will say they should have. However, that's irrelevant now. We have to do our best to get the right result against Walsall. Would I take a point? Yes, but I am hoping we can show enough quality to come back home with all three points. Defensively, Notts just have to take their time and not make rash decisions. We have been immense this season at the back, so if we are solid in this area, we'll be better up front.
  10. I voted for Matty Platt. I thought he was the rock in our defence and kept us structured against a team that could skilfully create chances. It's a shame he went off. I hope it's not a bad injury.
  11. George Abbott for Player of the Month. He's been incredible and deserves to be in the spotlight for this. He's done very well for us and will be a big part of the success we might experience this season.
  12. Good report of the game. I feel proud of the players and I would have stayed to clap them off the pitch had I been there. They deserved it for the performance they gave and despite conceding goals, I don't think it's something we need to pay too much attention to because we matched them in terms of scoring.
  13. What an honour and historic moment. Pedro looked like a classy player and although he was well before my time, I respect and admire what he did for Notts County. I am pleased the club remembered to do this, as it reminds fans of his legacy which is important beyond the colour of his skin.
  14. I would like to think we are a lot more settled in defence and can make Peterborough United work hard to get anything from the game, yes they are a good team but on cup day we are equal to them. The winners will be whoever wants it more, or who plays the best defensively. I am sure Stuart Maynard will have the team well drilled and prepared for the match. We have a good following, so I am sure that will help us get into things.
  15. Alan Judge was one of my favourite players back in the day. He was such a good player. After he left us, we never seemed to find someone to replace him. I see a lot of Judge in Dan Crowley and Cal Roberts. They are players who can take control of a game and change the outcome with pure brilliance.
  16. It's a great idea. You can get content emailed by following forums and topics. I think more members should enable this feature. A newsletter is a brilliant idea to boost engagement.
  17. I find it amusing how the media often act as if Manchester City losing is impossible. Of course, it is possible. I think teams are beginning to exploit their weaknesses more now. Spurs are a good team, although not always consistent. When they perform well, they can dominate any opponent.
  18. When I woke up today, I almost forgot I had a cast on. Surprisingly, this hasn't happened often. But once you're up and moving, you quickly remember. My days are quite uneventful, so I decided to visit the local shops for a change of scenery and to keep walking. With the colder weather, I don't want to be stuck inside. I prefer staying active. I'm making good progress and look forward to the day I can walk without the cast.
  19. It's great to see Jatta getting the recognition he deserves. From the moment he arrived, he made a significant impact. Many fans initially questioned why the club bought a striker when it seemed defenders were needed. His call-up for The Gambia reflects his influence. I'm glad it's paying off for him.
  20. The academy needs moments like this, and I would encourage fans to try to get down on Sunday if they can. It would be a boost for them, but to my starting point, this is what young players look forward to and it will only encourage them. Whatever the outcome, we need to be proud and spur them on.
  21. Spaghetti Bolognese is one of my earliest memories. I could be quite fussy, but my mum is an excellent cook, and a lot of the food we had, from casseroles to shepherd's pie, are things I used to look forward to. One of my all-time favourite simple meals was cheese, beans and potato, three of the best ingredients to make a meal from.
