  1. Kyle Hudlin did far more in those minutes he had, than Andy Dallas or Adam Rooney combined. Not the effective switch, but he gave Notts something to think about. Kyle Wootton marking him, then going down due to the collision with Hudlin was a concerning few minutes.
  2. @Joshua If the players don't panic and just enjoy themselves, it will be a good test. I have a feeling Notts will be quite comfortable.
  3. Notts has to build on the clean sheet, there is goals in the squad but keeping the opposition out leads to more confidence going forward IMO. Good result against Yeovil.
  4. It would be a positive sign to see the club bounce back with a win. I don't know what to suggest in terms of changes but something has to be done to try to improve on the recent performances.
  5. He sounds like a good addition to the midfield, we have two defensive holding midfielders and a box to box player. Well done Notts.
  6. I'm going to predict a 1-1 draw, we can't win them all and a point would be a good outcome. Something for the team to improve on with games away from home. I can see Meadow Lane being the main area for points that are picked up, but a slow start never hurt anyone away from home. Confidence and performances have been good, avoid allowing stress and expectations to impact the squad away from home.
  7. I for one do not want to see Notts going all guns blazing. Take it slow, grow in confidence and get a real feel for what Barnet has about them. If we go for their throats early on, its only going to lead to the shaky defence that we tend to see.
  8. The Forest chairman has it. ????
  9. Its good to pick up a win like this on the road, it comes as a surprise but we do have a good side. It just takes a bit to get it out, think the sending off changed everything but still feel the points would have been ours.
  10. There's a lot of scaremongering going on, with these things there always is. Just take care and be mindful of bugs.
  11. Terrible performance no way around it, lucky to leave with 3 points but a win is a win. Only a handful of players did really well. Jim O'Brien should have started in my eyes, they looked wasteful and poor. A good Notts should have walked over them, I'm not sure why after Notts went 1-0 the game took such a twist but the same level of application from the players was needed but it simply wasn't there.
  12. Very poor display from Notts, the squad looked clueless on the pitch and lack any sort of game plan. The new keeper and the CB had a nightmare of a game. It's hard to just blame them, the whole squad just played very poorly.
  13. Social media has been a major knee jerk for some, I can't help but think they need to get over the result. Notts drawn, neither side deserved to win.
  14. I wonder how many will bother to attend the game, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't mean a lot but winning is important. I just hope Neal Ardley doesn't experience any further injury setbacks.
  15. I'm not expecting much from the game due to it being on TV, I think the attendance might also suffer with fans thinking they can turn off after Chesterfield score in the 22nd minute of the game. Notts could do with getting the win but we shall see.
  16. Only reason they are getting chances is because nobody seems to be marking, direct play and they could have a lot more time. Notts need to be wary.
  17. Prediction? 3-1 Dennis, Doyle and Enzio to win the game. Despite the scoreline I don't expect it to be easy, I think by half time it could be 1-1. If Notts up the anti in the second half, I can see goals coming to rescue all three points.
  18. Nice insight to this season @Alexlevy0908, I think the standard of football has been better than I had anticipated. The quality in grounds has been a different question. Nice write up.
  19. December was a vital month, it's been a difficult campaign but things are improving. Notts did what was needed yesterday, it is an important win but I would voice caution because we seem like one of those teams that can just become poor again. Hopefully, yesterday was a sign of more to come.
  20. The forms better than it was prior to the winning streak the club had, some of those games I didn't expect to win and a draw yesterday just seems to balance that up.
  21. The game will only be as difficult as Notts makes it, if we match them and ensure more effort is put in. The rewards will come.
  22. The game wasn't as bad as some suggest, it was dull and poor in places but both teams created chances. Jake Kean did very well when he came on, Alex Lacey looked good too. Sam Osborne did excellent taking on Chesterfield.
  23. If Notts plays with the right approach, we should do well. These sloppy goals do need to be addressed, its one of the biggest causes of dropping points. I hope Ardley sends out a team which is wanting to win and will work hard to try to see it out.
  24. Notts haven't been at the races in the past two games, it's a poor result but the players just need to focus more. Both goals were gifted, otherwise it would have been a draw.
  25. Awful game, poor defending cost us the game and I don't just blame the back four.
