  1. Ricardo's team had no trouble scoring. Jamie's self inflicted ignorance of sidelining players like Stanley, Filip and Genaro, makes me very angry
  2. Piethagoram's dreaming of angles: Loach Wildin Amevor Hollis Milsom Campbell Noble Curtis Stanley Valencic Stead But team likely to be as @NewNottsFan says
  3. The last paragraph from Elite sums up where we are. Especially the piece...the most pathetic football I have seen in 45 years. ... Whatever the rights and wrongs of Stanley, I've lost all confidence in Jamie's ability to pick a team and develop a creative style. Not a lot needed fixing post Moniz. The "statement" issued today bordered on unprofessional in not really addressing all the issues raised. A PR disaster and maybe Winter (now is the Winter of our discontent) should also depart. I like to consider myself as a level headed poster, but I have reached a point of no return.
  4. I always value @Elite_pie 's view. His summary sums up my feelings too. "Out of his depth....., ...most pathetic football I've seen in 45 years". I would just add another 4 years for me, .. 49 years this month. I have never felt so disenfranchised from this great club.
  5. Loach Wildin Agathise Amevor Milsom Noble Aborah Thompson Campbell Valencic Stead Don't think we will get anything from the game hence Piethagoram's inspiring line up. At least it will show the youngsters the step up required to make the grade. Jamie will field same starting 11 at Accrington saying this is his best team. After a pasting, he says he felt no need to change by using substitutions as they were not fit enough to be on the bench.
  6. On reflection, we all knew Accrington were a good passing side and any reasonable professional, would have set up a 4 5 1 formation to counter. Listening to Magpie Player, Smith's name was barely mentioned. Also having listened to Colin's talk with Jamie regarding Aborah, the lack of respect was so apparent. How can the supporters get behind this guy, who obviously lives in a self induced bubble?
  7. stallard says Accrington's midfield fluid football v hoofball...disgrace
  8. free header????
  9. I see Stanley scored....ooops wrong Stanley
  10. I was trying to remember that Mexican beer that looked liked it was still brewed by WWII escaped Germans?...Tecate??? Will listen on Magpie Player though that seems at least 45 seconds behind the radio commentary... COYP
  11. @tarquinbeech I have just decided to decline to make the trip tonight... I always like the trips to Accrington, a ground unchanged for proper football but I am getting tired on driving up the M6 to witness a Stanley-less team. Saturday's game against Orient quite frankly knocked a hell of a lot of the stuffing ( read "hope") out of me. If I had confidence he was going to field a more creative team, I would have gone tonight but the reality will be same team again.
  12. I was hoping for a case of Stanley (Accrington) meets Stanley (Aborah) but feel the meeting will not and more likely never happen again. the chance is lost. A cold chill tonight will come down off the Pennines, where the sheep in the hills will outnumber a paltry amount of County fans. Accrington will play football and hopefully Josh Windass is still injured. Hoping for a Notts win against expectations, because it will be a long journey home
  13. @irishpete I presume he will not feature tonight.
  14. My team for tonight Loach Wildin MacKenzie Hollis Milsom Thompson Noble Aborah Campbell Valencic Stead Never going to happen though. I am feeling a bit radical this morning. .... Actually I think now is the time to blood Luther. I have seen enough of him in the Reserves to be confident that he can be our right back next season. If we find that Izzy is playing tonight, then serious questions need to be asked
  15. @Super_Danny_Allsopp Good team Danny..but I would prefer Valencic for Burke
  16. No, not a career reprise on the Banjoman, but on a look back for Millwall's Red invasion http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/yuran-admits-hes-top-of-the-flops-6318309.html Always remember Danny Baker complete with Russian Red Army Fur hat, on television full of enthusiasm of a new dawn for Millwall...but such new dawn was relegation
  17. Maybe the only change will be MacKenzie into the centre with Hewitt switching to Right Back. However I strongly feel we need to play 4 5 1 and drop Izzy, with Stead up front. Midfield five Curtis Noble Aborah, with Campbell and Valencic out wide. Milsom may also come into the reckoning.
  18. Taxi tales...Lima Peru... exit area of Lima airport can be best described as a cage. Taxi drivers touting for business and I couldnt find the car booked for me by the hotel. So I went back inside and paid a bit extra for an airport car. Conversing with the guy in Spanish, he said dont worry when we go through red lights. If we stop at red lights, likelihood of being robbed at gunpoint. So an interesting 20 minute drive through the dark streets of Lima to a hotel surrounded by barbed wire walls. Had an early flight next day so arranged for same guy to bring me back to airport. I get to airport to check in for flight to Cuzco, to find airline ticket not valid. Dont worry sir, its happened many times before, we give you preprinted letter for you to take back to your travel agent saying we only accept tickets issued by American Airlines only. so had to pay about 100 dollars for the flight. I could have gone to the Aero Continente desk, but that airline had a not so good reputation ( must have been true, as I believe, allegedly american insurance companies subsequently withdrew their insurance so they couldnt fly). So just paid 100 bucks and an american girl turns up on spec...same flight USD 70? I asked why her flight was cheaper? Well sir, you had a reservation already? Yes maybe reservation with an invalid ticket! Such is life in Latin america Vielen danke @DangerousSausage
  19. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/steam-train-drives-through-football-6620021 Well, we never got the monorail, perhaps will enhance the watching experience at Meadow Lane
  20. Please can I have a go as manager I am sure my team would have done a better job than the team that played yesterday
