  1. The performance wasn't too great, but we can't blame Stuart Maynard for it. The players should improve their defending, and the club must work on getting fans back as their support can be an advantage. Yesterday had many topics to discuss, but I'm glad the Kop stayed committed. Except for Scott Robertson and Dan Crowley, the midfield lacked consistency and quality. Jodi Jones had only occasional good moments, so I don't consider him despite his efforts.
  2. I understand the concerns, but I believe we should allow him some time. I don't see his appointment as a bad thing; he appears to be the suitable successor to Luke Williams. I don't expect to notice significant changes until several games have been played, but I have faith that Stuart Maynard will lead us to the playoffs, at the very least.
  3. I think Notts are doing well with the young players, and I hope Stuart Maynard is the manager who will give them more chances. Luke Williams has begun, but he tends to rely on experienced players. The youngsters won't gain experience if we don't start giving them more opportunities.
  4. Stockport could collapse at any point just as we did; they're a good side but are often overhyped. I believe we should dominate them at times, but I think the game will be determined by whoever scores first. I don't anticipate it ending in a draw.
  5. I didn't like seeing Luke Williams' response, how he lost his voice or seemed to be defeated in pain. The players need to jump into brick walls for him. Defensively, they need to make us prouder. They can do it if they keep their heads and make the right decisions.
  6. Interesting to see Williams point out the fear factor in our lads. The tough love from our head coach might be exactly what we need to face future challenges. Wimbledon was a tough opponent, but our boys need to stand their ground.
  7. I won't be able to attend the game, but I plan to keep an eye out for updates. I'm optimistic that Notts can secure a strong victory away from home. Earning three points would be great for moving us up the table, but I don't know much about Wimbledon. They could pose a challenge, or we might not perform at our best.
  8. @menzinho That's a valid point, I had forgotten about Baj. He seemed to be improving in his position, and while I have great admiration for Jim O'Brien, he doesn't possess the same playing style as them. I'm not implying that Jim isn't deserving of a starting position, but there is a suitable time and place for it. In my opinion, Colchester wasn't that team.
  9. @DangerousSausage Considering how both teams possess the ability to score effortlessly, I believe a 3-3 draw is more probable. However, it depends on whether the players can comprehend the situation. I think we will be more motivated for the game. If Luke Williams doesn't address the players with a statement like, "You are at the top of the league for a reason. The pressure will always be on your shoulders, but it's crucial to respond and handle it. Stay focused, work hard, and enjoy the game. The only thing that can prevent us from winning is failing to take responsibility when necessary. You are capable of achieving this." Or something along those lines.
  10. Hello, @Morten Johansen. PON is mixed from young to older, you don't need to be an expert on Notts either. None of us are. ????
  11. I believe we should take a moment to reflect on our defensive performance. There are times when we don't appear to be strong in that area, whether it's due to a lack of focus or other factors. It's crucial that we acquire another centre-back who can bolster our defense instead of bringing in loan players who won't see much playing time. I'm confident that this was just one of those games and that we can bounce back.
  12. Luke Williams understands! Hopefully, everything goes according to plan, and our team makes us proud. Colchester won't be an easy opponent, as not many teams are, but we have to believe that we are capable enough to maintain our strong start. It all boils down to effective game management.
  13. It's getting close now, and I just want Notts to perform well. I believe David McGoldrick could make a significant impact for us.
  14. It's not as easy as Notts has made it look. Luke Williams is right to give the teams we face their credit and acknowledge the difficulty they bring. That shows a lot of focus and respect, so going into the game, it should help us to focus on our own performance.
  15. Aidan Stone deserved the clean sheet, and I'm pleased he has achieved it. The team's performance was commendable, as we maintained control of the game in both halves. Macaulay Langstaff displayed great effort, although he could have possibly scored another goal. Although their goalkeeper made some impressive saves, it wasn't sufficient to change the outcome. Our team is showing great promise and performing exceptionally well.
