  1. Games like this are always tricky. Morecambe’s got nothing to lose, and their players will be fighting for everything to turn their form around. We’ve got to keep focused, especially after some of the injuries we’ve had. Missing players like Robertson and Jodi isn’t ideal, but we’ve shown we can still play well without them. With Bedeau and Crowley both having a point to prove against their former side, I’m confident we can get the result, but it won’t be easy. Morecambe will be scrapping for a point or more.
  2. Maynard’s comments about our performance and his positive outlook, even in the face of defeat, are truly encouraging. It’s evident that the team has been putting in a lot of effort and creating chances, even if the results haven’t always gone our way. Facing Morecambe’s aggressive style will be another challenge for our resilience and adaptability. However, we’ve consistently shown that we can rise to such occasions. The absence of Jatta is certainly a setback, but prioritising player health is crucial. On a brighter note, the emergence of young talents like Kameron Muir highlights the club’s strong foundation. I’m optimistic about tomorrow’s match and eager to see how we fare against Morecambe.
  3. Jacob Bedeau’s recent interview highlights his professionalism and respect for Morecambe, even amidst their challenges. His dedication to Notts County’s objectives underscores his character. It’s refreshing to see players who value their journey and leverage their past experiences to drive their current ambitions. At Notts, Jacob isn’t merely blending in; he’s excelling. His enthusiastic remarks about our playing style and the team’s potential are truly inspiring. I’m eager to see how he performs against his former club this weekend. Matches like these hold a unique significance, and I have no doubt Jacob will step up to the challenge.
  4. Good to see the club bringing in reinforcements after recent injuries. Josh Martin looks like a solid pick-up. Coming from a Premier League background and a title-winning side at Portsmouth, he’s got that winning experience. Plus, he’s still young, which means he’ll be eager to prove himself at this level. It’ll be interesting to see if he slots into the wing or more centrally in Maynard’s set-up, but either way, we could use the extra attacking threat. It’s only a short-term deal, so hopefully, he makes an impression quickly. I think this could be a very smart move.
  5. This match against Gillingham is truly shaping up to be a proper six-pointer. With both teams in fine form and so close in the league standings, Meadow Lane will be buzzing. Maynard has done wonders with our attacking play, and the confidence in the squad. Gillingham won't be easy, especially with their counter-attacking prowess, but I believe in our ability to maintain our unbeaten run, particularly with Crowley, Jones and McGoldrick in such stellar form.
  6. It's fantastic news that McDonald and Ness are on their way back from injury. Maynard’s focus on both attacking and defensive cohesion has been evident this season, especially with the solid performances from players like Bedeau and Macari. It’s clear the pre-season work has paid dividends. Also, great to see the fans playing their part every game, creating that vital 12th man effect.
  7. What an extraordinary match! The way we turned things around after being 2-0 down in the first six minutes was nothing short of spectacular. Jodi Jones' penalty was crucial, and you could see it lifted the entire team. With Jones, Crowley, and Jatta pulling the strings, our attack looked phenomenal. Special kudos to Alex Bass for his key saves; he was a rock between the sticks. This level of performance from returning players shows how important squad depth is. If we can maintain this form, we're in for an exciting season. Hats off to Stuart Maynard for instilling such belief and resilience in the players.
  8. Many think Bromley might make it difficult, with their pitch not being the best. I do wonder if Notts will be able to play their usual game or need to revert to something more in the air. I think our strongest squad has what it takes. It’s good to know we have Jatta, Crowley, and Jones all back.
  9. Jodi Jones is showing how mature he is. It’s easy to get distracted by offers and interest. That desire and ambition can really turn your head. But what I have taken from reading this is that Jodi is focused on where he is now and how he can help Notts to the next level. The contract is all positive, a sign of commitment, but his words show even more signs of that.
  10. I will be awaiting news on Friday to see who Sky Sports has named as the winner. I am hoping that Jodi Jones does well, but how many times will they choose him before they feel it’s too many times? Will there be a story for them after? I hope it is chosen on merit. Good luck, Jodi.
  11. Sven-Göran Eriksson's contribution to Notts County is a chapter of the club's history that is as memorable as it is significant. His leadership and vision brought remarkable success, propelling the club to new heights. Overseeing Notts County to win the League Two Championship was a testament to his exceptional skills. But beyond the victories, it was Eriksson’s character that left a lasting impression. Waiving his payoff to assist in the club’s transition showed his respect and commitment. This Saturday’s tribute serves not just as a moment of reflection but a celebration of a man who truly made a difference. His legacy will continue to inspire for years to come.
  12. Enjoyed reading about Macari’s reflections on his time with Notts County. Switching from Stoke City must have been a significant change, but it’s evident he’s adapting well. His focus on defensive stability is exactly what we need, especially after last season’s issues with clean sheets. His comments on wanting to contribute more and play every game show his passion and dedication. It’s also interesting to note how he reminisces about the hectic nature of his transfer last year. Macari’s journey highlights his resilience and commitment to becoming the best player he can be. Excited to see him in action this season!
  13. It's a sad day for football. His legacy is bigger than his short time at Notts. That time shows how much people thought of Sven-Goran Eriksson. He was more than just the Director of Football. He was publicity and attracted a lot of interest. This made the club feel much bigger than a League Two team. I can still remember the letter Notts sent me. It had a picture of Sven welcoming me to Meadow Lane before the new season.
  14. Nick's honesty and passion shine through in his interview. Leaving a club as close to his heart as Crawley Town must have been difficult, but his excitement for the new opportunities at Notts County is evident. I admire how he balances his respect for his old club with his enthusiasm for the new one. It’s great to see a player who’s not just skilled but also thoughtful and genuine. I believe Nick will be a fantastic addition to Notts County, bringing with him not just talent, but also a fantastic attitude.
  15. I'm very excited about Nick Tsaroulla’s addition to our team. His dual capability as both an attacker and defender, combined with his experience in League Two, makes him an ideal fit for our squad. Plus, his personality seems fantastic, as mentioned by Richard Montague. He’ll surely be an asset in both gameplay and team spirit.
  16. I’m really hopeful with Alex Bass’s addition to Notts County's squad. His remarks about striving for promotion and his steady presence in goal are motivating. His background with AFC Wimbledon brings seasoned experience, and that's something Notts County can certainly benefit from. It's also commendable how he’s keen to integrate into Nottingham and form strong relationships with his teammates and the coaching staff. The new season looks promising with Bass safeguarding our net.
  17. It’s positive how he fits into our system here, due to his similar style at Wealdstone. However, it will be a significant step up for him and his assistant. I appreciate the optimistic outlook, as this should support Stuart Maynard. I hope fans won’t prematurely call for his dismissal before he gets a real chance to build momentum. I’d say we should give him at least half of his contract. I’ll back him and Notts in every match, but I’m worried that some people might not be satisfied and could try to ruin it for everyone.
  18. I'm really impressed with O'Brien's leadership during this interim period. His focus on maintaining consistency despite the situation is exactly what Notts County needs heading into this crucial clash with Stockport. It's a testament to his professionalism and the respect he's garnered from the players. The fact that they're putting aside personal disappointments and concerns to focus on the collective goal of winning is inspiring and bodes well for the match. All the best to the team!
  19. As the transfer window winds down, it's reassuring to hear the board's confidence in bolstering the squad post-Maynard's arrival. Optimal signings alongside Maynard's nous might just be what propels our season. This indeed marks a promising chapter for Notts County. While some might be skeptical, this is the time for optimism and unity amongst the fans.
  20. I believe David Jackson has been following this discussion, as one of the questions he asked Kyle Cameron was whether they should be easy to beat. The answer is, no team is easy unless you work hard and perform well on the day. It would be great to be 3-0 up going into the second half, and finish the game as we should have done against Bradford City. However, when we play against a tall squad like Walsall, it makes me cautious. The game will likely be close and decided within 15-25 minutes.
  21. Kyle Cameron's determination and commitment to bounce back are really inspiring. It shows he's not giving up, and neither should we, despite our recent hurdles. It sends out a strong message to the team and the fans alike. Notts County has always risen above the most challenging times, and I thoroughly believe we'll do so this time too.
  22. No, Tottenham let him go, but he’s still officially a player for Cardiff City. In 2022, while he was with The Bluebirds, he had a brief loan stint at Cheltenham Town.
  23. While the defensive mishaps are concerning, it's fascinating how Williams emphasises on individual performances. His satisfaction at Dan's and Ayan's inclusion and performance, despite the odds, underpins his faith in his team.
  24. An insightful piece that shows the struggles and triumphs of being a professional footballer. Junior Morias through this chat outlines a competitive yet supportive approach to football, acknowledging the high standards set by the gaffer and the team. His excitement about the FA Cup is contagious, reminding us of football's unpredictable charm.
  25. Absolutely delighted with last night's victory! From the first kick-off to the final whistle, Notts County showed that they came to do nothing but win. The dedication and fighting spirit of every player on the pitch were palpable. I have to mention Aidan Stone’s fantastic saves, without them the result might've been different.
