  1. Lucien Mahovo’s transfer to Norwich City is a significant step in his career. At just 19, he’s shown incredible promise, and moving to a Championship team is a testament to his talent. Notts did a stellar job in his development, making this transfer a proud moment for the club. It’s also commendable that Norwich City sees potential in nurturing young talents like Lucien. I’m optimistic that he’ll adapt well to the new environment, benefiting from advanced facilities and higher-level play. Well done, Lucien!
  2. His time has been marked by spirited and passionate performances, but now is the right time to part ways. This does not diminish what he has achieved during his five-year tenure. Thank you, Connell.
  3. Curtis Edwards seems like an outstanding fit for Notts. It’s clear he is not just focused on individual success but also on contributing to the team’s overall performance. His comments about preferring a deeper playing position suggest he’ll be pivotal in both defence and attack. I look forward to see how he performs. His experience and mindset might be the key to a successful season for us.
  4. It’s a big match for both clubs, the winner will gain crucial points and would it mean there would be pressure on both which sees the match fizzle out to end as a draw? I reckon Notts should be in a better position going into the match but if they start slowly, it could be a different match altogether. I just want to see an entertaining match between two good teams.
  5. He’s a good player on his day, he works hard and gets stuck in. I don’t believe he’s an exact replacement for Matt Palmer but that’s a good thing. His qualities are impressive and what he does similar to Palmer is effective. Those two could be a very strong pair in the heart of midfield.
  6. I reckon there are aspects to both scenarios that make loan signings good and bad. It’s more about using common sense and bringing in players who have the skill and attitude to do well. Some, even the seasoned players, don’t make an effort because they are merely on loan. But when you sign someone who wants to prove themselves, usually out of favour like Jodi Jones, you can get the best out of them. He’s the prime example of how it can be successful, as he enjoyed his time here so much he signed on a permanent basis and his time here wasn’t a benefit to others. Not that I’m against that, it just counteracts giving our own lads a chance but the likes of Jack Grealish, Callum McGregor and Ryan Yates are good examples of why this does work albeit that Yates’ being recalled did harm the progress the club was making at the time.
  7. Maynard's adaptability shines through in these unforeseen circumstances, taking the extra training time to improve the squad's understanding of his system. It's a silver lining that could have a tangible impact on the field. His focus on a collaborative club atmosphere, extending beyond the pitch, is what builds the foundation for long-term success. With a manager like that, I feel like the players are going to be as confident and as prepared as they can be, which is all we can ask for ahead of a tough game.
  8. Jim O'Brien’s openness in this interview is precisely why I have faith in our team. The clarity and steadiness he has brought during this unpredictable time is crucial. Acknowledging the need to tighten our defense while still pushing our style of play demonstrates a well-considered strategy. Of course, Stockport won't be easy, but I'm confident we're prepared for the challenge.
  9. It’s encouraging to hear that Kyle Cameron is available for selection. I hope he returns with the determination to lead the defence as we know he’s capable of. A strong partnership could form between him and Aden Baldwin if they communicate effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
  10. I agree with Williams about Stockport County's impressive run this season. They've been standing out as a tough team to beat. But rather than being intimidated, our team, guided by Williams, should take this as a motivation and challenge to step up our game. Resources and strategies are important but ultimately, it's the grit and determination on the pitch that will dictate the result.
  11. Crawley might be a tough opponent. I don’t expect them to start poorly, and I think the real action will happen in the second half. The first 45 minutes might be a bit dull, with the excitement picking up after the break. That’s just how football is sometimes, but a victory would be a nice change after Saturday’s loss.
  12. Adam Chicksen's return is a much needed silver lining, especially at such a crucial juncture in the season. Williams is right - the team lacks the necessary intensity, and I believe Chicksen could help remedy that. Here's looking forward to a turnaround in our performances.
  13. I really appreciate Williams' brutal honesty about the team's performance against Wimbledon. Not afraid to admit where we went wrong, he highlighted the lack of intensity and control that severely hampered Notts County's play throughout the match. It is clear, however, that he has the team's best interests at heart with his constructive criticism and letting the disappointment be known.
  14. I think Notts will be under a lot of pressure, so I can understand more about how Luke Williams is handling things. In my opinion, AFC Wimbledon would be happy with a draw. I anticipate a tough match and I just hope that whoever starts performs well because we’re at the point where wins and draws are most important.
  15. Think we're all missing a key point here, the pressure on Notts County. Williams is doing an excellent job preparing Notts both for the pressure and the intensity of the game. While he acknowledges Wimbledon's formidable line-up, there's no sense of intimidation. Instead, a clear-headed approach towards facing the challenge. Maintaining performance levels throughout the full match is surely one way to turn the pressure into an advantage.
  16. Intriguing to learn about the challenges of recruitment and squad depth and how they are handled. Well done to Williams for sharing insight into this.
  17. Superb piece! It's terrific to witness Jodi Jones' trajectory from Notts County to international football. Bravo to him on another Wembley appearance!
  18. Yes, Luke's interview is an eye-opener for us fans, just how calculated and meticulous team management is. Hats off!
  19. Gosling’s interview reveals his palpable excitement for the club. His respect for the manager, thrill over new signings, and readiness to embrace challenges rather than dwell on past achievements are truly inspiring. His eagerness to play and contribute to the club’s success is a mindset all players should adopt. His passion, coupled with his skills and experience, can foster a positive environment within the club, motivating his teammates to step up their game. It’s invigorating to see such fervour from a new recruit. Considering his resolve to return to football post-injury, I’m certain Gosling will be a significant asset to the team.
  20. Notts County’s FA Cup win is more than just a victory. It shows their grit and determination. Even though they knew they weren’t at their best, they never gave up. This makes them tough to beat. We look forward to seeing more of this fighting spirit.
  21. Terrific news! Gosling’s experience will certainly give us an edge. Can't wait to see him play.
  22. I love McGoldrick's spirit, his refusal to wallow in their loss shows his true character. He's right, there's always another match, another chance to do better. As fans, we need to stand with our team in the good times and the tough ones. Every down presents an opportunity for an up.
  23. The match wasn’t vastly different from the encounter with Grimsby, albeit with the roles reversed and arguably against a superior Forest Green side. Every now and then, a game like this comes along, and it seems we fans have become quite accustomed to it. In previous seasons, such a game might have led to complaints, but not in this campaign. I believe that seeing the score levelled at 2-2 spurred Notts to up their game. Had Forest Green been slower to equalise, we might have settled for a draw, but fortunately, there was ample time for us to regain control. Had the equaliser come later in the match, they might have even emerged victorious, as we seemed quite hapless for a while.
  24. Despite a few nerve-wracking moments, the lads' character and fighting spirit amid such a challenge were outstanding. Williams' remarks underline that we've got a team that recognises its strength, learns from weaknesses, and fights till the last minute. True, finer control is needed, but the heart shown by the players - that's something you can't drill into anyone, and for me, it’s what makes the Magpies such a formidable force.
  25. Let’s continue to push forward, Notts! We possess a team that has the potential to secure a favourable outcome. As long as we maintain our concentration in defence, opportunities will present themselves if we persist in our efforts on the offensive front. A positive result could serve as a morale booster. Given our current form, it could transform Luke Williams’ Nottingham side into a formidable opponent in the upcoming crucial matches.
