  4. As I've got older I prefer the white text against a black background. It's much easier to read and is less a strain on my eyes. The black text on a white background makes text harder to read. If there were an option to brighten the text, with added contrast that might improve it further The headings option is similar as I've demonstrated here. This has more contrast & bolder. Is there a way to allow a member to opt for this or just a little less contrast, but to another member it appears normal text?

  8. Can't argue with your first 11 @theAnticlough as it stands with the squad as it stands. If McDonald signs, he may start in the back three with Gibbons at RWB, & Tsaroulla starting on the bench. There's certainly a hole in the AM area now that Luker, Iorpenda & Hall have left. Maybe Jodi could be an option in the AM area with Gibbons RWB & Tsaroulla LWB. I think we are going to see more movement in the AM & Centre Back area over the coming weeks.
  9. So it's the time when we are seeing movement in & out. Martin will need to work with the players remaining & the the new players & then decide who he will select for his starting eleven in the friendly matches. We will see many changes during those matches of course, but looking at the squad as it is now which players will you pick for your starting eleven & you could also include the bench too. As more players are recruited & others leaving, that starting eleven will change, so it will be interesting to see how people change their view as the squad changes up to the end of the transfer window.

  12. Unfortunately I think that if Palmer stays he won't be more than a squad player. Matt has his attributes, but I don't think he's physical enough for the Paterson style of playing.

  15. It's the usual click bait. I don't think their is any danger of Martin going to another League One club. I do think that Notts need to finalise and offer Martin an improved contract. Maybe a two year with an option of a further year to ensure that it would cost a club if any club potentially tempted him away.
  16. Another excellent signing by Notts. Looks like Max will be a replacement for Ollie Norburn.

  19. I think this decision had some inevitability about it coming just over a week since the match finished. The Salford owners are very ambitious & the look on their faces after the match wasn't hard to read. Somehow, I don't think that Karl Robinson will be out of a job for long. He's a good Head Coach & there will be clubs standing in line wanting his services.
  20. Salford City have sacked Karl Robinson just one week after they failed to achieve promotion to League One.Link to article 👇 https://talksport.com/football/4301879/salford-city-sack-karl-robinson-league-two/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1780435731
  21. Another thing I noticed @Chris is that the site looks sharper and clearer. It may be only how I see it but it does appear better to the eye. In addition, when deleting text it is faster than before 👍
  22. I think the site seems faster on my mobile, the pages are loading faster & so is the text. I just posted a new Topic. I noticed the link to the Notts website didn't embed. It's not a big issue, because visitors can click the link no problem & read the message OK on the Notts website.
  23. I thought this part of Joe Palmer's message was very significant. I quote "Chris, Alex and everyone connected with the club wants to deliver success as much as anyone – but we’re not prepared to risk the club’s long-term security by limiting our strategy to simply matching the top spenders in our division. Instead, our competitive advantage comes from our dedication to our model, which is succeeding in driving more value from our spending through smarter recruitment and rational decision-making. It’s a model based on ‘when’, not ‘if’ – as demonstrated by the fact that the club has been steadily improving its league position year-on-year". The sustainability approach will continue. It has proved to be a successful strategy so far. I think it will be tested to the full in League One. It will be fascinating to see how it pans out.
