Player Contracts That Expire 30 June 26.
I think many decisions will be made on whether Notts get promoted or not. McDonald & Norburn are both 33. Norburn has experience in the Championship & League 1, McDonald has League 1 experience. McDonald is arguably our best defender, & Norburn has demonstrated his value. I think with their experience, they could both be useful in League 1 if Notts were promoted. With Nick Tsaroulla there is an option for another year on his present contract. Other players like Keanan Bennetts & Maziar Kouhyar, who has an option to extend his contract for another year, we will have to see what happens. As far as Matty Platt he has an injury to deal with. Hopefully, he can recover during the summer off season. I think that he has earned a contract extension with his performances. He's good enough for League 1. If I were Notts I'd put in an offer for Tom Iorpenda if Notts get promoted, or even if they didn't. He's a very good player who suits the Notts style perfectly & would do well in League 1.

Player Contracts That Expire 30 June 26.
There are quite a few players who's contracts expire on the 30th June 26. Those players are:- 1.Matty Platt 2.Nick Tsaroulla 3.Keanan Bennetts 4.Maziar Kouhyar 5.Oliver Norburn 6.Rod McDonald 7.Milai Perott Loan Players 1.Tom Iorpenda 2.Tyrese Hall 3.Jaden Luker Option to buy1.Harald Tangen So there are 6 senior squad members, plus 1 option to buy, excluding the pure loanees, who's contracts expire in 2026. That's a large number of players where decisions have to be made after the season ends.

Weekly Chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd March
Hi everyone. A crisp morning & the blue sky had gone for now. It looked like it rained a little too last night I went to get some fuel for the Car. It is a diesel. The price at the Tesco Garage was £1:57. The price has gone up & it is expected to go higher. It's not just the price of fuel, food prices continue to rise. The price of the same food order has gone up by £2. We've noticed that the same food order is never the same price from week to week. Sometimes it's a little less in price due to offers, but the trend is invariably upwards.

Automatic Promotion: Is it still possible?
I think Bromley & MK Dons are running away. It's probably now between Notts, Cambridge, Salford & Swindon for the third promotion place. It's going to be tough, but it's still possible for Notts. Cambridge v Notts could have a lot to say about the final outcome. Cambridge have a tough run in, beside playing Notts they have to play Salford, Grimsby & Swindon at home, plus Bromley away.. So some of those teams are going to drop points.

Matty Platt - it’s bad news
It's a big blow. Matt has been so consistent & part of a very successful back three this season. I do wish him luck for a speedy recovery. It may be a long layoff for him. It's pleasing to know that we have Rod McDonald to come in with Lucas Ness waiting in the wings.

Match Discussion: League Two - Cheltenham Town (A)
Notts meet Cheltenham after having a convincing 4:0 win at Accrington. Head Coach Martin Paterson will be hoping that they can carry on with the form they showed last Tuesday. Cheltenham currently stand in 17th place on 42 points in League 2. They have won 11, drawn 9, & lost 17 of their 37 matches so far. As for their current form they have drawn 4 & won 1 of their last 5 matches. Over the last 10 matches Cheltenham stand in 14th place in the form table & have earned 12 points, with 2 wins, 6 draws & 2 defeats. They have scored 15 & conceded 15 over those last 10 matches. So looking at those Stats, Cheltenham have improved over the last 10 matches, & with their number of draws, they could be hard to break down. They have held Bromley to a draw & beaten Salford over those last 10 matches. So they shouldn't be underestimated. It will be a tough match for Notts having lost their last two home matches, but after the win at Accrington, Martin does have different options, selection wise, at his disposal. He will be hoping that Jatta will be able to start on Saturday. Ndlovu should be available after his suspension. If Notts can move the ball quickly as they did on Tuesday, they should cause Cheltenham plenty of problems. Another convincing win would do wonders for the confidence around the club, going into the last 8 games of the season.

Weekly Chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd March
Good morning everyone. Another beautiful morning here, with not a cloud in the sky. The local weather forecast says it's going to be a little cooler than yesterday, with a high of 14 Celsius. I think it may get a little warmer than that. We are both off for a walk fo an hour or so. I now concentrate on getting the prescribed 150 heart points every week to keep the fitness up. This includes brisker walking to get the heart pumping faster. It's certainly a pleasant day to get those heart points in.

Match Discussion: League Two - Accrington Stanley (A)
I think I tend to agree that the Palmer/ Iorpenda partnership is a good one, the Robertson/ Iorpenda twosome is good too. I like Norburn & he gives some extra physicality to the centre of midfield but his petulance is a downer. I think Palmer/ Iorpenda should be given another go. I think Tangen played his best match for Notts so a Tangen/ Grant partnership upfront is worth another go. Bennetts is close to a selection. I think Ndlovu should have served his 3 match ban so he should be back on Saturday.

Match Discussion: League Two - Accrington Stanley (A)
I think it could be worth Martin Paterson considering a similar team to the one that played at Accrington in one or more of the final games. I think Accrington were confused about who to mark because there wasn't a recognised target man. It is something that Martin can keep in his locker just in case. I am sure that other teams will have been watching & studying a video of that match & as a result will be much more prepared to deal with that eventuality. Notts just need to play their strongest team available as their best players become available. Playing a recognised striker, if available, from the start, has to be the better call. Whether Jatta is fit enough to start on Saturday will be a big factor.

Interview Joe Palmer
I've listened to the interview. Joe Palmer always gives a good interview. He's always optimistic and positive & that's a good thing. I think that Notts should be very proud of the new training facilities that they have developed in partnership with Nottingham University. I can understand that the training facilities which the Club possesses can help to attract some of the best players at this level & even higher. Attracting some of the best players at this level & above is possible & I'm sure they would revel working in those training facilities, however attracting the best players cost money, in transfer fees & salaries. Getting promoted to League 1 will cost the club financially & it will mean the owners having to dip into their pockets much more or alternatively looking for a third party financier to put more money into the club. It will be fascinating to see how the owners deal with possible promotion at the season's end. Will some players be sold on, & will we see some big name signings or not. Will season ticket prices have to go up or will the price rises be kept to a minimum?

Weekly Chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd March
It's been a beautiful day. Apparently the temperatures have been just over 20 Celsius in southern England & some parts of Wales. We've actually switched the gas heating off this morning for the first time in months. 8 years ago today, we had snow & there was a few inches on the ground around here.

Weekly Chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd March
It's a beautiful morning here. The forecast is for Sunny Weather & a high of 17 Celsius. Good luck with the lesson @super_pie I passed my test on 6th June 1974 after 20 lessons. Tests were much easier then with the hardest manoeuvres being the left hand reverse turn, & the three point turn. When I started off the examiner told me to travel up the road then turn right, I turned left. I thought I'd blown it, but it relaxed me & I went through the test well. I did my emergency stop when a dog ran into the road. As I said, I thought that turning left had failed the test for not following instructions, but after answering the five highway code questions, he passed me for my driving. I was nervous, when I started the test, turning left instead of right, was the best move as things turned out.
