  5. The poll has now closed. Thank you to all who voted. I'm pleased to announce that Tom Iorpenda, by an overwhelming majority, has been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match v Cheltenham. Well done Tom.
  6. It looks like we could see Jayden Luker on the bench against Oldham, after listening to Martin Paterson's pre Oldham Presser. That would be massive for Notts.
  7. League 2: The Latics (A). Venue: Boundary Park. Date: Tuesday 24th March. Kick off: 19:45 pm. Notts travel to an Oldham Athletic team who are the form team of League 2. They are unbeaten in 9 games with 7 wins & 2 draws. The last team to beat them was Swindon Town on the 7th Feb. They currently stand in 11th place in League 2 on 58 points, just 4 points from a playoff place. As a result of their last 10 matches, Oldham are top of the form table. They have earned 23 points from a possible 30. They have scored 16 goals & conceded only 5. They have the best defensive record in the League having conceded just 31 goals from 37 matches. Notts will be looking for their third consecutive win on Tuesday, however, Oldham are the best team in the League on current form, so it won't be easy & could prove to be the toughest game of the season so far. Notts will welcome back Matt Dennis after his suspension, so 3 Strikers will be available to Martin Paterson on Tuesday. Tyrese Hall & Maziar Kouhyar will be missing as they are on international duty. Even so, it should still be a strong bench. Notts will also be bouyed by the great form of players like Jodi Jones, who is back to his best, Tom Iorpenda who had a masterclass against Cheltenham, & Skipper Matt Palmer, who is back to his influential best. Even those players on the bench have shown their ability to come on & change the game in Notts's favour. The game could well be decided on Notts's ability to break through the Oldham defence, & successfully counter Oldham's physicality, high energy & aerial threat from their strikers. I have a feeling that Martin will be happy with a draw even though he always wants to win every game. So what are your thoughts on this important match for Notts. What would your starting line-up be? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

  13. This is a great set of stats for Jodi Jones.
  14. @StarkMallard That's about £1:82 in Pounds & pence for unleaded. I'm surprised it's more than the UK with fuel tax & VAT adding to the cost here, but I suppose the cost of living is a little higher there. Unfortunately, it looks like diesel & unleaded will go higher across Europe the way things are going.
  15. I have watched the full match replay & it was a great team performance especially in the 2nd half. I thought Tangen did a lot of good work, Jodi is getting back to his best & his crosses were sublime at times. It's great to see the dubs making a big difference, Norburn coming on allowed Tom Iorpenda to go further forward, Keanan Bennetts was dangerous on the left wing & so was Kouhyar on the right. Some of the passing after the fourth goal was a pleasure to see. It wasn't just keep ball, it was fast & slick passing. At one point every Notts player touched the ball. That shows the confidence within the team.

  20. Lots of good performances today, including the subs that came on, but I thought that the Player above them all today was Tom Iorpenda. Notts have been blessed with getting two brilliant loanees in successive seasons, Abbott & Iorpenda who are both going to have great careers, Hall is playing his part too. Luker could also make a big difference when he returns.
  21. Goal of the Season.Enjoy
  22. Cheltenham made it very hard for Notts in the first half & they looked dangerous when they attacked us. Credit to Martin for changing things in the 2nd half. The substitutes gave Notts more impetus helped by a winder goal from Tom Iorpenda. 84 points won the title last season. It may not even get a promotion place this season the way things are going.
  23. A great 2nd half from Notts that gives them a massive win today against a Cheltenham side that made it very difficult for Notts especially in the first half. Here are the players that I have chosen for you to choose your favourite today. Those players are :- Belshaw, Macari, McDonald, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Iorpenda, Jones, Grant, Tangen, Jatta, Bennetts, Kouhyar, Norburn.
