Martin admitted he made a mistake with the starting 11. It's better to play your best available starting 11 even though some of them had international duty previously. Get ahead first and then make substitutions after 60 minutes if players become tired. My point is, Martin didn't know who is best team was yet, but after listening to that interview I think he will be nearer to knowing that. There's no denying that Notts are missing their flair players from last season.

In my opinion the three Notts substitutions gave life to the Notts cause after half time. The Sanders-Finneran combination were much more effective than Cooper and Palmer pairing. Tsaroulla was much more effective than Gibbons. The team for the 2nd half should have started the match.
