  4. The game tomorrow against Bromley, the Notts performance & the final result will tell us a lot about Notts's playoff credentials.
  5. Not particularly bothered about what's not going on or going on across the river. My focus is on Notts playing well tomorrow & getting three points.
  6. The poll has now closed. Thanks to all of the 64 members who voted in this poll.I'm absolutely delighted to announce that for his outstanding performance against Shrewsbury, Nick Tsaroulla has been voted as the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match. He received a record vote tally too of 53 votes from PON members.
  7. Norwich 2 Middlesbrough 1 Sheffield 1 - 1 Millwall Bolton 2 - 2 Lincoln Mansfield 2 - 1 Leyton Fleetwood 3 - 1 Oldham Gillingham 2 - 1 Crewe 🤡 Halifax 1 - 2 Forest Green Sutton 0 -1 Scunthorpe
  8. We do need a nice tasting traditional Pukka Pie. And Notts need another proven striker who can score goals too.
  9. Good move for Geraldo. I wish him luck at Crawley Town. Could have done a good job for Notts too.
  10. 3.5 hours left to get your vote in.
  11. FYI via Google. "Ultrasound & MRI scans can sometimes identify signs of a muscle spasm, although it's not always definive & clinical assessment by a doctor is the most crucial tool for diagnosis and treatment decisions" "Ultrasound can visualise swelling & inflammatory changes, while MRI provides a more detailed view of muscle injuries. In some cases, these scans can show localized "spasm points" or subtle muscle abnormalities that may indicate a spasm".
  12. @super_ram The purple four were quite hard to work out.
  13. Notts need to try to stop the crosses coming in from open play if at all possible. Bromley free kicks & corners will be just as dangerous too. When they do threaten Martin needs to ensure Griffiths is in goal to deal with it behind a good experienced defence. Notts need to stop giving the ball away in dangerous positions. If Tsaroulla venchers forward Notts need to ensure the space he creates at the back is covered. For this match I would start with a flat back four with conventional wingers. Tsaroulla on the left, Cotter on the right with Macari, McDonald, Aljofree, & Bedeau in the back four.
  14. @Piethagoram I get your point. I'd rather Notts have 70% possession & do something useful with it like they did against Shrewsbury, & replace Roos asap so we can handle the 30%
  15. You make a good point @theAnticlough & I too would have been inclined to have Jatta on the bench for his first match after suspension just to keep a winning team together to start with. Just wondering if it will affect the team & fan base Psychology, him being injured. Listening to Martin I get the impression we won't be seeing any new striker in either.
  16. Revised list of injuries.Scott Robertson. Lucas Ness. Mai Traore Matty Platt. Jaden Luker Alassana Jatta. Back spasm.
  17. This is bad news for Notts.Apparently he has a back spasm, so he is out of the Notts squad against Bromley.
  18. A team can have 70% of the ball, but it's how they use that 70%. If they spend most of the possession passing the ball between defenders & midfield, but don't have any sort of worthwhile penetration, it will come to nothing, unless the opposition make a mistake at the back. If the opposing team has just 30% of possession, but makes the most of it by being incisive & dangerous when it breaks with pace, & the team with 70% keeps making mistakes at the back, the team with only 30% will most likely win the match. Having the most possession counts for nothing if you don't do anything worthwhile with it. We've seen that play out too many times at ML in recent years.
  19. Notts have missed a trick not bringing Archie back to ML, but I do wish him luck at Morecambe. I think he will do a good job for them between the sticks.
  20. The HC should set up a formation that will most likely succeed against a particular team employing a particular tactic. A set up & tactic that is most likely to get the win on the day. Not a formation, & tactic that a particular player is comfortable with. I think that players should be able to play in any formation if asked to do so. There will be plenty of preparation on the training ground. That's the coaches job to ensure players are prepared for any eventuality. A team that is flexible & can counter any tactic that an opponent can muster is a team that is most likely to be successful over the season.
