  3. I do feel that we will be able to see where Notts are when they meet Bromley on Saturday. If Notts can put in a good performance against a side that is currently unbeaten after four games, & come away with a win, I will be very encouraged for Notts's prospects for climbing up the league 2 table after such a slow start. Mind you, It will be a tough game & Notts need to cut out the silly errors that we saw against Shrewsbury during the game. Bromley will take full advantage & could punish Notts if Notts give away possession in dangerous areas. Notts also need to work on defending crosses into their penalty area, which they have failed to do, during matches, so far this season. Notts are very capable of getting a positive result on Saturday. They just need to be focused & alert for the full 90+ minutes. They have also proved that they can score goals when their attack is on song. So all we need is a good all round performance & Notts should get another win
  4. It was a good win & an emphatic win too. We saw periods of good Notts play, but also periods when they looked disjointed & gave away the ball quite a lot. Hopefully the win will give the team lots of confidence. A much better assessment of where the team will be is when they meet Bromley on Saturday. We have Jatta returning so him coming back should give Notts more of a threat.
  5. I would like to see Notts adopt a 4-4-2 formation. This would give Notts more defensive solidarity. I don't think it would impede the Notts possession based identity to any degree, but I do think the formation can give the Notts team more flexibility with their shape & tactics during a match.
  6. It was great to get our first win of the season. Some of the Notts play was exquisite & reminded me of the way Notts used to play in the National League. Hopefully, the win is going to give the players plenty of confidence especially the goalscorers. It was a good team performance & several players stood out for me like Tsaroulla, Dennis, Jones & Iorpenda. It was a positive evening but I do think that we have to guard the fact that the opposition wasn't the best Notts have faced this season, & there were times when Notts gave the ball away carelessly at the back & a better team may have punished them. But a win is a win, & Notts can look forward to the game on Saturday against Bromley with renewed vigor. They just need to tighten up at the back & stay focused for the whole 90 minutes.
  7. @Fan of Big Tone The game isn't consistent in what kind of answers it's looking for sometimes.

  13. Nick Tsaroulla. It's great to have him back.
  14. The best team performance of the season My shortlist for Man of the Match are, Nick Tsaroulla, Matt Dennis, Mat Palmer Tom Iorpenda & Sonny Aljofree I thought that Tom Iorpenda was immense in midfield, but I'm going for Nick Tsaroulla because I think he inspired the team with his work on the left hand side for Notts tonight & he scored a good goal too
  15. A welcome win for Notts tonight against Shrewsbury. The best performance of the season by far, & some good individual performances to go with it. There are a few candidates for the Man of the Match tonight. I have included the first eleven & two subs for your choice. Those players are, Roos, McDonald, Bedeau, Aljofree, Jones, Iorpenda, Norburn, Palmer, Dennis, Tsaroula, Cotter, Gordon, Grant
  16. Full TimeA welcome first win of the season for Notts. We've seen some real quality for a couple of the Notts goals, & some good quick play at times. Certainly the best performance of the season. Hopefully it will give the team lots of confidence.
