Just a thought. We bought in 11 players & released 11 during the summer. Do we believe that the wage bill has been cut? It may well have been. What does that tell us about the Notts finances? One more thing. Didzy & the club couldn't agree a new contract. But three of those new players or even just two of them may be costing the club as much as what Didzy wanted. The point I'm getting at, was Didzy worth two or three of those players we brought in? Maybe he was, but we will never know.

Stuart Maynard took a lot of stick during his tenure at Notts, but at the end of the day he still took us to a playoff place with virtually no support from January to May & he didn't have a technical board overseeing his every move either. One of the things that he did was to plug our defence to a certain extent, & got 20 wins & missed automatic promotion by just 2 wins. At the moment that sort of record seems a very long way off, not just because of the poor start, but how the team are playing & how the Head Coach comes across in his interviews.
