It's a very good sunning up by Paul Mace on his Blog after the match.- NL Top 4
Cedwyn Scott scored for his new club today. Didzy & Barnsley are still unbeaten in League One. Nemane scored for MK Dons, they are third in League Two. You only tweak a side that got to the playoffs the previous season. You don't gut it.- Notts Injury Watch 2025/26
Matty Platt & Jaden Luker has joined the injury list after going off injured against Barrow. So six key players are injured. Scott Robertson. Lucas Ness. Mai Traore. Will Jarvis. Matty Platt. Jaden Luker- Who's to blame?
The blame has to be fairly and squarely on the brothers I'm afraid. Look, I'm so grateful to the brothers for coming in and saving this Club, & what they've done since, to put this Club on an even keel, when the Club was close to extinction. But some of the decision making over the last year has been a little strange to say the least. It begins with the infrastructure improvements. There is always need to improve & maintain the infrastructure of a Club, but the club invested in a Premier League Hybrid pitch, at great expense, when the priority should be the team & promotion. Selling their important players like Langstaff, when he still had plenty of his contract to run was strange, as well as offloading other players like Bass & Nemane..The club at this point appears to have regressed on the field even though the Club has bought in eleven new players & released eleven. We've had a steady progression since we were relegated to the National League & I give the owners great credit for that, but I'm afraid that progression has come to a halt in the four games we seen so far As I've wrote on another thread, the club needs to go into the transfer market & try to bring in at least three good league two players, a goalkeeper, an attacking midfielder, & a proven goalscorer. Trouble is, I'm not sure if the players are working for the new HC or not now.- Game 3: Match Discussion: The Bluebirds (A)
- Who's is your Man of the Match against Barrow?
The team as a whole didn't play well today. There is no bones about it. A small improvement for a period in the the 2nd half failed to rescue a point for Notts. Who was the Notts player that stood out for you? I have included the starting eleven & one substitute for your choice of M of the M. Those players are Roos, McDonald, Bedeau, Aljofree, Gordon, Palmer, Iorpenda, Bennetts, Luker, Jones, Dennis, Tsaroula- Game 3: Match Discussion: The Bluebirds (A)
Notts have gone backwards since last season. The balance of the side is very off kilter. The 11 players that were recruited don't look like they have strengthened the squad, on the contrary they appear to have weakened it at this point. There needs to be movement in the transfer market in the next several days or things are going to get very awkward. There doesn't seem to be any real sign of improvement which is concerning. Notts have two home games this week against Shrewsbury & Bromley. Nothing less than six points will do, otherwise the Head Coach will be under great pressure from the fanbase.- Game 3: Match Discussion: The Bluebirds (A)
