Weekly chat Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd June
Hi all. We had a smidgeon of rain here tonight about 2 hours ago, although it is warmer in the house than it was last night. The house bricks have been warming up over the last three or four days so that will be helping to heat the house too. It's just over 77 Deg in the living room at this moment. Nice to see @Fan of Big Tone back, there's plenty to talk about Notts wise with the incomings & the speculation going viral about who the new Head Coach will be. We've gone Danish on here too.

Thoughts on the Goalkeeper(s) Behind Alex Bass?
Sam has to the 30th June before his contract expires. I thought he being a back up keeper worked very well for Notts. He has plenty of experience and experience to pass on, & I'm sure Alex Bass benefitted from that. I thought that Sam had another season in him and when he deputised for Alex he did quite well for the side. Notts already have an academy goalkeeper who is learning his trade & I think it would be a good move by Notts to bring in an older goalkeeper with experience, but doesn't mind being a back up. You never know when a goalkeeper may have an injury or is absent for another reason so it is sensible to have a competent back up keeper in reserve.

Which Clubs will finish in the top 10 in League 2 for 25/26?
My top 10. 1: Bristol Rovers 2: MK Dons 3: Walsall 4: Shrewsbury 5: Colchester 6: Notts County 7: Chesterfield 8: Salford 9: Cambridge 10:Crawley I think the teams that were relegated from League 1 will feature strongly at the top of league 2 next season, with Bristol Rovers winning the league & Shrewsbury going strong too. I expect MK Dons will be strong & get the 2nd promotion spot & Walsall to do one better & get automatic promotion too I have picked Notts to make the playoffs, but I think it is going to be very close for those four playoff spots with up to 10 further clubs thinking they can achieve a playoff position. I expect Shrewsbury, Colchester & Chesterfield to join Notts in the playoffs, but it could easily result in four different clubs qualifying because the League will just be as close as this season gone.

It was still very hot all over the UK today but not as hot as Thursday.- British Tennis News.
Jack Draper has won his quarter final at Queen's with a battling 3 set win today. Jack reaches the Queen's semi final for the first time His win also confirms he will be seeded number 4 for the Wimbledon Championships.- Which Clubs will finish in the top 10 in League 2 for 25/26?
The summer transfer window is in full swing & hopes are high among the 24 teams in League 2 that they might either get promotion or a place in the playoffs. The three teams that missed out, Walsall, Notts & Chesterfield will have hopes of going one better this season, & the four teams relegated from League 1, Crawley, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers & Cambridge will be looking for a quick return. So who will finish in the top 10 next season, who will be Champions, which two teams will be promoted with them, & who will make the playoffs?- Jeg havde en trillebør, hjulet faldt af
Jeg håber stadig, at Luke Williams stadig er med i kampen, men hvis det bliver Steffen Højer, ville han være en god udnævnelse.- Jeg havde en trillebør, hjulet faldt af
I had a wheelbarrow, the wheel fell off👍- Exploring ways to further strengthen the coaching and staff structure
It's a great idea & to be honest I have wanted this to happen for a while. Stuart Maynard could have benefited from an "old head" he could turn to & lean on. Someone with plenty of EFL experience, who has seen great success as well as the occasional down turn, would be absolutely ideal. Notts already have a Head of Football but he lacks EFL experience too, so someone to come in as say, a Director of Football would be ideal. Neil Warnock has been suggested or even Luke Williams, but Luke might not be attracted to that sort of role. He might if it's a Team Manager role.- Wishing Fan of Big Tone a happy birthday!

I installed ceiling fans in our living room & bedroom twenty years ago & they still work fine on three different speeds but they are a little expensive to run continuously, so we've had a table & a floor fan working all day. It's kept the two rooms getting too warm, but both are 76.5 Deg F even now, - Heat Wave
