  1. Unfortunately this is becoming a sad trend in our national game. As I've said many times before, there should be a cap on transfers & wages at different levels depending on which division it is. Finance just seems to be spiraling out of control which is not good for our game. Failing all that. I think that the Notts County finance model is a good example for other clubs to follow.
  2. Well we have lost the Sunny weather today although it is mild. Hopefully it will be back tomorrow. Been catching up on all the current affairs which have been going on at a brisk pace these last several days. It looks like 2025 is going to be a very important year at home and abroad.
  3. The poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted. I am pleased to announce that by a large majority, George Abbott has been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his outstanding performance against Fleetwood. Well done George.
  4. @Chris I agree & the sacking of managers at such a high rate is becoming a worrying trend in football. I wonder if managerial contracts reflect this increasing trend with better compensation if the manager is sacked. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if agents were pushing for more lucrative contracts for their clients.
  5. I'm sorry but I've said this before. With less than a third of the season left I just don't see the advantages of sacking a Manager/Head Coach so late in the season. It is so hard for another Manager/Head Coach coming in. Why don't these clubs just appoint someone with coaching qualifications to come in and assist the Head Coach and maybe bring new ideas to the table. I think it is so important to have someone that knows his players at this critical part of the season. It can make all the difference.
  6. Poor Dan. There are players that make bad moves then there are players that make very bad moves.
  7. Surely the goalkeeper will just drop the ball and then pick it up multiple times before clearing the ball.
  8. When I heard the news I couldn't stop laughing.
  9. A belated thanks for letting me know. By the way you spelt Abbott wrong but never mind, we all make mistakes.
  10. Our late equaliser from Jatta.
  11. Let's hear from the Boss.
  12. The four players on my shortlist for Man of the Match are Jacob Bedeau, Matty Platt, George Abbott, Alassana Jatta Both Platt & Bedeau had a solid game for Notts today. It is something that we have become to expect from them & they always seem to deliver. Bedeau was class once again & his goal was well taken.Jatta is so important to Notts & he proved it once again today. He could easily have had a hat trick today with the chances he had. For me it was a close run thing between Abbott & Jatta but I think that Abbott just nicks the award for me. So my PON Man of the Match is George Abbott
  13. Notts started very well as they have done in many matches this season. Notts created many chances in that first half & should have gone to the interval with more goals than the single one they scored As we have seen in a few matches this season, it was a tale of two halves for Notts. They were brilliant in the first half but faltered somewhat after the interval. Notts conceded two quick goals after missing many chances of their own, it was a familiar story. Stuart made some substitutions & Notts fought back to earn a draw. Notts will be frustrated that they didn't take advantage of their dominance in that first half. It was nice to see Macari & Jones coming on after around 70 minutes & hopefully those two players will have a part to play in a tough March that might define Notts's season.
  14. It was a good point won for Notts in the end. Please select your Man of the Match & please share with us why you chose that player.. These are the players from the starting 11. Bass, Gordon, Bedeau Platt, Grant, Whittaker, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Johnson, Jatta, Abbott.
