  1. Legendary former World Heavyweight Champion George Foreman has died at the age of 76. George Foreman: Heavyweight boxing legend dies aged 76 WWW.BBC.CO.UK Foreman won his first world heavyweight championship in 1973 and lost it a year later to...
  2. A comfortable win for England tonight against an Albanian side that offered very little upfront. Albania were content to put 10 men behind the ball and try to hit England on the counter. A goal in each half was enough for England tonight. Nice to see Lewis-Skelly get a goal on his debut & Kane took his goal well. His 70th for England. It was good to get the win but I felt that England were too pedestrian at times, with two much passing around at the back & not enough slick passing up front for my liking. Phil Foden was given a lot of the ball on the right hand side but I felt he didn't make the most of it. I felt that England were just intent on passing it around too much & chances were not forthcoming for the amount of possession they had. England reminded me of Notts when they are trying to break a team down that just sits back. Sometimes you just want them to go more direct to try something different.. A win is a win, but there will be harder games than this one & England will have to improve, if they want success against the better sides.

  5. He can play for two non league clubs but not two league clubs, so he can play for Notts.
  6. Good luck to the Ladies against Birmingham.
  7. List of players currently injured. 1. Scott Robertson. 2.Lucas Ness 3.Jodi Jones 4. Sam Austin 6. Rod McDonald 7. Alex Bass
  8. Birmingham Ladies (Boldmere St Michaels) are currently in fifth place six points ahead of Notts who are in seventh place. It will be an opportunity for Notts to make some ground on Birmingham. If Notts could finish in fifth place at season's end it would be a great achievement. The match won't be easy as Birmingham have improved too. Notts will have to play at their best, but they have every chance of getting a positive result.

  10. Sunny intervals here with plenty of cloud. Out in the garden once again making repairs to our garden fence & picking up leaves & more weeding.
  11. Jarvis & Whittaker are no better than Martin & Brown who we let go. Cisse has lots of potential & he's worth a place on the bench. Junior has shown that he can score goals. Traore hasn't really showed much since his arrival. I would prefer Junior over Traore at this time. He deserves another opportunity.

  14. Listened to Stuart's pre Crewe presser & he confirmed that Bass will be out for a while, apparently he had a similar injury in the past. Stuart is hopeful he will play a part before the season's end but it doesn't look good. Stuart confirmed that Notts are looking for a goalkeeper either on emergency loan or someone out of contract. Mai Traore is fit and in contention for the Crewe match, so is Morias. As far as Jodi is concerned Notts are taking it a week at a time. Not sure that He'll be back before season's end. Stuart thought that the match on Saturday will be difficult, but a win could put the club back on track. Just thought that Stuart looked a little subdued during this presser & it didn't appear to me that he was as upbeat as he has been in previous interviews.
  15. Stunning photo of the Earth at the moment of the spring equinox.
  16. Another lovely morning here. Not a cloud in the sky. Both of us put in the garden early weeding & tidying things up. Now taking a rest & going online for a while. Switched off the gas fire for the first time in months. Looks like it is going to be a relative scorcher today.
