  1. Stuart has announced his team to face Port Vale. Traore on the bench. No Whitaker, Didzy or Jodi.
  2. It's Matchday. CMON U PIES
  3. Matty Platt has been a rock in the Notts defence this season. He has also been one of the most consistent players too. He has struck up such a great partnership with Jacob Bedeau Lewis Macari, Rob McDonald & Lucas Ness before he became injured All five have been a big part of the reason why Notts have 12 clean sheets so far this season. It's going to be a tough match against Portugal Vale, but we can go into that game with lots of confidence with Matty Platt & his colleagues at the back.
  4. Preview of the match from Port Vale's point of view. Match Preview | Port Vale vs Notts County | Port Vale FC WWW.PORT-VALE.CO.UK We return to Vale Park on Thursday night as we take on Notts County in front of...
  5. I think this could be a very good appointment by Derby. I hope that John Eustace can turn around the Derby fortunes & pull them away from the relegation area. It will be tough with just 14 games to go, but I do wish him well. Derby are a top club who should be challenging for the PL.

  9. Twelve clean sheets already this season is a testament to how the team have improved since last season. Lots of credit has to be given to Stuart Maynard, his coaching staff & his team. The fact that the team has continued to show good form despite the injuries demonstrates that Stuart's squad is strong & ready to face the challenges that await it in the remaining games . As we await news about the fitness of Didzy & Jodi, there are players that Stuart can call on in confidence to take their place and give a good account of themselves against Port Vale.
  10. Graph that shows how the Notts goals are being scored. Nice to see that set piece goals are up to 17% of the total goals scored. Type. Goals. Effect
  11. The game against Port Vale is the most important game of the season so far for Notts in my opinion. Notts are in sparkling form at the moment & will want to continue their excellent run, however this will be a stern test for the Magpies against one of the best sides in the Division. Notts lost their home encounter with Vale 0-1 in October. Notts played well in that match with plenty of possession, but were unable to break through the Vale defence. Key areas tomorrow are going to be all over the pitch. Notts will need to be tight at the back & try to dominate the midfield. Hopefully, Didzy will be available to partner Jatta upfront. I think Notts can be a threat upfront to any side in this division with Jatta & Didzy in such a rich vein of form. Vale will be weary of both of them. I'm sure Charlie Whitaker will continue in an attacking midfield role. Notts will need to try to get behind the Vale defence. Something they failed to do in October. I will be happy to take a draw from this match, avoid a defeat, & move on. 0:0 or 1:1 would do nicely. PS. I've listened to Stuart's pre Vale presser & it appears that Jodi & Didzy injuries are still being assessed so they probably won't be in contention for the Vale match.
  12. Junior has another 17 months on his contract. Not sure whether Woking will be able to afford the fee. He's worth is down at €100K on some websites. He's made 24 appearances this season so far and has scored 9 goals with 5 assists. He's played on the left & right wings, attacking midfield & as a central striker, so he's played in different positions for his National League Clubs this season. Hope he does well for Woking & proves Stuart wrong.
  13. Two goals for Junior. Two well taken goals. Give the guy a chance and he certainly delivers.
  14. Such an iconic photo even after all these years. The look on his face & his celebration of pure joy, is just one of the reasons why I just love this game of Association football.
  15. The Ladies fought so hard to achieve a draw after going 1:3 down early in the second half. They never gave up and got their just rewards deep into injury time. Just shows how far the team has come since last season.
