Is it really thirty years ago?

To be honest @liampie I don't understand why the start of the game has to be 12:30 just because it is a live televised match. Why not start the match at the usual time of 3pm or is it because Sky want fans to tune into their Soccer Saturday?

I agree with @liampie that the majority of the current crop of players are generally good enough for league one. I do believe however, that the squad needs strengthening to ensure that those players on the bench are capable of maintaining the strength of the team if they need to come on. At the moment, I don't think that is the case. I also believe that Notts need to ensure that the players they bring in don't have a history of injuries that could cause Notts problems during the season. Then we have to factor in the possibly that some of our best players could be sold off. Jatta is one that could be sold & Bedeau has impressed too witch may interest other clubs. I don't expect Notts to challenge for promotion if they do get promoted. The owners have basically said that they won't rush things, so it may be a season of consolidation.

The regulator is unlikely to be scrapped but could be watered down through further amendments to legislation that is currently being finalized, they said". If the powers of the Regulator are cut it would be a big blow to football in this Country as far as I'm concerned.

@The Cheshunt Pie I think most of the Notts fans think that he has been treated poorly by the management. There are other players we could mentioned that seem to have been treated poorly too. Whether it's something on the training field or whether it's to do with not getting on with the Coach, we can only speculate. But now he's been recalled he should be given a chance. Let him do his talking on the field of play. He could prove is doubters wrong.

Before I retired I spent the majority of my time working & commuting to & from work, but I've always been interested in all sports from Athletics to Ice hockey. Now retired I'm trying to adjust to life in retirement. I like my daily walks. The superstore is in walking distance, so if we need anything, that's a good way to exercise. I like to go into the garden in the spring, summer & Autumn to keep busy. It isn't a big garden but it's big enough to sit out & enjoy the flowers. I do a bit of reading too. There's always plenty to do around the house & in the garden but it's nice to sit down during the evening & watch a dvd or online film.

I wonder if safe standing proved popular they would do the same in the family stand?

@allardyces tash totally agree. Junior has been treated unfairly. He can play right across the forward line even as a winger. I wonder if he was recalled by Joe Palmer?

Plenty of sun this morning but has gone cloudy this afternoon. Spent a couple of hours in the garden with the wife wedding, cutting the lawn edges & a general tidy up. Remove some more moss from the lawn. Using the scraper is giving me plenty of exercise. I suppose I'll suffer for it tomorrow morning being stiff as a board.

It's been a lovely sunny day here & it was warm in the sun but the wind was cold. Managed to get the grass cut in the back garden. Will do some more work tomorrow such as cutting the lawn edges & weeding.

I wouldn't call it one of the greatest. They should have called the camp one of the most notorious prisoner of war camps. Russian & Polish prisoners of war were treated terribly by the Germans during the war.Thousands upon thousands were used for forced Labour, & thousands were sent to concentration camps. This camp was more like a death camp than a prisoner of war camp. May all who died there rest in peace.

This is a surprise. I always wanted Junior to be given a chance, but it didn't seem that he was in Stuart's long term plans. Jatta will be on international duty soon, so this move must be to cover for him while he's away, & to give Notts more options other than Didzy & Traoré. I'm hoping that Junior does get an opportunity because just sitting on the bench is not what he wants I'm sure. I must say I'm a little concerned about Traore's fitness, & it doesn't seem as though Notts feel that Will Jarvis can do a job in the centre forward position.

If the decision was to be made now, I would say no. I think he has till the end of the season to show that he is worth keeping. If Notts were hoping that he would be a replacement for Dan Crowley, I don't think he is that type of player.

Junior has been recalled to bolster the Notts attacking options.
