  1. My question to PON members. Should Notts offer a contract extension to Didzy?
  2. @Pies79 I do agree that McDonald brings something to the back line. Stuart went to a back four in the second half against Grimsby. If McDonald is fit, he plays. Of course Didzy should play from the start of he's fully fit. I just think that he is too valuable to risk just coming back from injury. Not sure if Stuart will put our young B Team goalie (Perrot) on the bench if Bass is not fit.
  3. Another massive game for Notts on Saturday.. Notts were boosted by the return to fitness of David McGoldrick with his well taken goal. I think that Stuart will remain cautious & David will remain on the bench against the Spireites. Doubts about Bass & McDonald's fitness remain so my team will reflect that My team against Chesterfield will be an unchanged side from the one that faced Grimsby after Bass's replacement. Slocombe, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Whittaker, Grant, Jatta. Edwards, Jarvis, Hinchy, Johnson, McGoldrick, Cisse I've put just six substitutes for now until we hear from Stuart in his pre Chesterfield presser. So I have Didzy coming on after 60 minutes or earlier depending on the state of play.
  4. If Notts can keep Didzy fit we have a chance for the Automatics. Jatta plays better with him in the side & Didzy seems to get a better performance out of the match squad, because He leads by example & his fellow players are inspired by him too.
  5. The Poll has now closed. Thanks to all who voted. By popular choice, I am very pleased to announce that Nick Tsaroulla has been named the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match against Grimsby. Well done Nick.
  6. THREE DAYS TO GO. CMON U PIES
  7. Bury are well on their way to getting promoted from the North West Counties Premier Division.
  8. Notts have earned as many points (61) with ten games to go, as they did in the whole of last season.
  9. Your Wednesday Afternoon Weather.
  10. Notts go long. Didzy does the rest. Going long can be a deadly weapon. Let's see more of it Notts.
  11. Alex Bass's injury sustained early in the first half against Grimsby will be assessed by Notts this morning. Stuart Maynard reported in his post Grimsby presser that Bass had turned his ankle over. If Bass is out for any length of time will Notts go for emergency goalkeeping cover by bringing someone in?
  12. On a positive note. The Football Governance Bill could become law by the summer, says English Football League chairman Rick Parry. Rick Parry: EFL chairman says football regulator bill could become law by summer WWW.BBC.COM Introducing the Football Governance Bill legal as soon as possible is a...
  13. Good Morning overcast here and chilly. Looks like there is rain in the air. Slept well last night after a great win by Notts. Bouncing back after two dissapointing results, shows that this squad is prepared to battle for the remaining ten matches. We can afford ourself a couple of days of euphoria, but attention now switches to the next game. A crucial game to come on Saturday at Meadow Lane when Notts entertain Chesterfield. A massive game that Notts need to win. Didzy gives us hope.
  14. League 2 Match: Thurs 13th March: 8pm kick off. Bromley 2-2 Walsall.
  15. I could hear it all from my back garden. Just kidding.
  16. The Notts goals from Jatta & a pearler from Didzy tonight.
  17. Well what a win that was tonight. It needed the players to step up & they sure did with a vengeance. Grimsby were the form team & for Notts to put in such a positive performance is very encouraging for their prospects for the last 10 games. Port Vale & AFC Wimbledon lost so that really does put the icing on the cake tonight. Another big game awaits on Saturday at home to Chesterfield. CMON U PIES.
  18. The whole team stepped up to the plate tonight with a great all round performance especially in the second half. I have chosen 6 players for my shortlist for Man of the match. Matty Platt was a colossus in the Notts defence, George Abbott was back to is very best in midfield, Conor Grant had his best match since returning from injury, Sam Slocombe came in & did a great job in goal, Alassana Jatta was doing what he does best, & David McGoldrick was back with a bang. All had a good shot at getting my gong, however I think Abbott was an absolute Colossus tonight, so he is my Man of the Match
  19. Let's here from the Gaffer.
  20. 1.Scott Robertson 2.Lucas Ness 3.Jodi Jones 4. Sam Austin 5. Mai Traore. Has sustained a contact injury against Barrow. 6. Rod McDonald wasn't in the squad against Grimsby. 7. Alex Bass went off injured early in the first half against Grimsby.
