Sam has been such a steady and reliable player for Notts. No matter where Stuart asks him to play, he always does a good job for Notts. Sam has been so valuable to Notts in this period where the team has sustained so many injuries. It is great that Notts have a very good utility player like Sam to call on. He will be valuable to Notts in the second half of the season too.

He's been appointed because he has a big name and is well known nationally, as well as being a brilliant footballer. But brilliant footballers don't always make brilliant managers. I think this appointment is a big mistake by Leicester City & it will come back to bite them.

Saturday Morning Weather

Good afternoon. Not a bad day here but cold outside. We've been busy this morning getting out the two Xmas trees, which we always do a day after Thanksgiving. We used to dress them both today, but we will do it over a few days now. We bought a smaller tree for the living room this year as the old one went to the ceiling & was quite large. I stayed on at work for six months @Fan of Big Tone & was planning to do at least an extra year, however the long hours were getting too much, so I called it a day. I'd only been with the company just seven years but I was presented with a nice watch on my last day when I got back to the depot. Still miss work sometimes but not the early rises.

Alassana has been a revelation since he joined Notts in January. He's a different type of striker compared with Macca & Notts have had to modify their style to get the best from him. His height has been a big factor that Notts have been able to exploit this season, but he's not just good in the air, he's just as dangerous to defences on the floor too. Once Jones & Crowley return, I think Jatta will get even more opportunities to add to his goal tally.

Something is certainly amiss at City. They lost a 3:0 lead in the Champions League against Dutch side, Feyenoord, & were pegged back to 3:3, & are in danger of not qualifying for the knock out stages of the champions league. City play at Liverpool on Sunday 1st Dec. If they lose there, Pep will be under the biggest pressure he as faced as Head Coach of City.

It is so sad to see another famous Club is having financial issues. It's also not surprising that it is another Glasgow based club having problems. Some of us will remember Third Lanark, another Glasgow club going out of business in 1968. It's just another example of the domination of Glasgow by Celtic and Rangers. Other clubs spend money to compete with them but it's just a futile venture unfortunately.

Nice to see that Alan has joined Woking, & I wish him luck with his new Club & that he remains injury free.

Good Morning. It a pleasant cloudless sky with late autumn sunshine. Very cold out though. Nothing much doing today apart from my usual walk. Have just been doing a mile a day for the last several weeks, due to feeling a bit under the weather.

I would like to see a relatively strong side to take the field against Peterborough. It will be a tough match in any case, but I do believe Notts have a chance of creating an upset. Some players may be rested, such as David McGoldrick altogether, Matty Platt,Lewis Macari, & Matty Palmer on the bench. I'm sure that Stuart will play a strong side on Saturday. It will be an important game for Hinchy, Martin, Brown, Scott & Gordon, who have something to prove. Key areas will be as always, Defence, Midfield and up front. This is my starting 11 & substitutes for the match. Bass, McDonald,Ness,Bedeau. Gordon,Abbott,Hinchy,Tsaroulla Brown,Austin Jatta. Subs, Slocombe,Scott,Palmer,Platt, Crowley,Macari, Robertson, (Robertson & Crowley if fit) otherwise Martin & Cisse Hoping for a shock. Maybe it could finish up going to penalties after a draw.
