  1. @Wheelbarrow repair man If Man City get off with just a fine & a small points deduction, it will hasten a split of the football league in England in my opinion. I don't think EFL Clubs, & half the PL clubs would accept it.
  2. I hope the rumours aren't true. Let's just wait for the club to release any news.
  3. The final match of the season sees Notts wanting at least a draw & 2 bonus points to avoid the risk of being relegated.
  4. Another wet morning here with lots of low cloud cover. The forecast for today is for much of the same unfortunately. Did you know? "In the 1640s George Fox lived in Mansfield and worked as a shoemaker. Mansfield became the birth place of the Quaker religion after Fox had a revelation walking past St Peter & St Paul's Church & felt compelled to preach to others. There is a Quaker Heritage Trail in the town. Fox was later imprisoned for the first time in Nottingham in 1649. Fox met Elizabeth Hooton at her home in nearby Skegby; she is usually considered to be the first person to accept the doctrines of Quakerism". Source Google
  5. Good move from MK Dons to recruit one of the most capable of managers in the EFL. Scott takes over someone else's side so it will possibly take time for him for his influence to take hold. He will probably have to go into the transfer market in January to bring in up to half a dozen new players. Hopefully he won't be casting an eye on some of the Notts players in January, such as Dan & Jodi, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Going down a division may look strange to some, but the club will have plenty of funds available from the new Kuwaiti owners, subject to EFL sustainability rules of course. I do expect MK Dons to be up there in the top half of the table, challenging at least for a playoff place, near the end of the season.
  6. Your Weather for Thursday
  7. The poll is now closed. Thanks to all who voted. Congratulations to Kellan Gordon, who wins the PON man of the match award for his defensive & attacking play, & scoring the Notts first goal with a terrific curling shot.
  8. "Super Agent"? Well he would say that wouldn't he. Agents will lose a big percentage of their earnings if Man City get relegated out of the PL. Man City have had enough time to make their case. It's time for justice to be seen to be done. Every charge, if found guilty of, is worth at least 4 points a pop. That's 460 points. That should mean relegation to National League North. We know that won't happen, however, demotion to league 2 at the very least should be considered if found guilty of all charges. Realistically. It'll finish up with a thirty point reduction, a freeze on transfers for a couple of seasons, & a £10 million fine.
  9. @Wheelbarrow repair man Notts won last night didn't they? The academy players played very well Let's celebrate that. Stuart won't play five of them in a league match and put unnecessary pressure on them against a full strength opposition. Remember, Burton played a weakened team too, & only changed their tune when it looked liked they would lose the match. Stuart will carefully manage all of those youngsters & I'm confident he will do that. Those youngsters worked damn hard last night, & deserved the all plaudits they all got.
  10. I think those youngsters have demonstrated that they can play at league 2 level if given the chance. We wouldn't have seen five academy players in one game under Luke Williams. Stuart Maynard should be given lots of credit for putting his faith in them. And the youngsters repaid that faith big time.
  11. Looks like the rain has arrived here. We been expecting it all day. It's probably going to continue all night The Bees have led a hasty retreat. Did you know that Bees have 10 pairs of valves, called spiracles, located on the sides of their body that allow them to breathe? Three pairs are on the thorax, six on the abdomen, and one pair is in the sting chamber.
  12. Total agree @heraldmagpie It's refreshing that Stuart played five of our Academy players & they all played so well too, & contributed to our win
  13. It was a big moment for Kameron & his family when he took to the field as a substitute late in the game. It was a landmark moment for the club too, with Kameron being the youngest ever player to take the field for the senior team. This landmark is just the beginning of what could be a brilliant future career for him as a player. His parents & family will be immensely proud of him, & that was a day they will all never forget. I wish Kameron all the best for his promising future.
  14. Maybe a player to keep an eye on.
  15. @Wheelbarrow repair man He must be in the money. That must have been a biggy for him to go to the States. If he does well, they might make him a Citizen.
  16. Kameron's family must be very proud of him. He looks like he's going to have a very bright future in Football. It was a landmark evening for Notts too, because as well as Kameron becoming the youngest ever player to play for the senior team, Notts had a total of five academy players playing that evening, including Kameron, who all played their part in helping Notts to a win against Burton.
  17. Your Wednesday Afternoon Weather
  18. @Wheelbarrow repair man Even Frank Bruno, & Henry Cooper would have taken Tyson's head off as well as all the modern British Heavyweights.
