  1. The match was a good work out for those returning from injury, the squad players & our academy players. The first goal could have been easily avoided. Another distribution error from Slocombe, his pass putting a Notts player under pressure from the opposition press, then Notts quickly losing possession high up the field. We have seen that countless times last season with Slocombe. It does concern me if Bass becomes injured & Slocombe is the only alternative. And the second goal conceded, I think Bass might have saved it. We didn't have a goalkeeper on the subs bench. That was a little concerning. Would have thought Bass would have been on the bench.
  2. Match highlights. Notts v Northampton.
  3. This is so true. It's such a credit to the club that at one point, six academy players were on the pitch for Notts playing a senior match.
  4. Your Wednesday Morning Weather
  5. Update after the Northampton match. Jodi Jones. Out till at least January 25. Curtis Edwards. Out till at least January 25. Conor Grant. Knee injury, six weeks out minimum David McGoldrick. Rested. Sore hamstrings. Cedwyn Scott. Felt something after the Gillingham match. Rested as a precaution.
  6. So what did we get out of this match? Well we know that McDonald is a class act & is going to feature in the Notts starting eleven quite a lot. Ness looked good in the first half, but he has to build up his fitness.Tsaroulla impressed too on the right. The youngsters tried their best but lacked composure which is understandable. The standout youngsters were Ryley Reynolds & Madou Cisse for me, but all of them should be congratulated for their effort tonight. I was disappointed with Martin and Brown. I expected much more from them. I think that Stuart will have learned a few things tonight. On the defence side he has plenty of cover, but in attack there is concern especially Scott not playing tonight. Whether he's picked up an injury well have to find out But at the moment I think the Club needs to bring in another free agent for up front if there is someone available that can fit into our style of play.
