@Joshua I think the deadline day incomings were slow, because I think it became apparent that clubs were trying to screw Notts with inflated transfer demands & Notts weren't playing. I think overall it's been a successful summer signing period where 13 players have come in, being over half the squad. Stuart and the board are delighted with what they have. Stuart needs to mould them into a promotion winning team if he can.

Notts do lots of research on players that they are interested in. That's what the recruiters do. There may be up to 50 or more players, even more, that they do extensive research on before they even put them into a list of priority. I'm quite sure that Jevani coming to Notts is not a last minute decision, but he would have been on a list of players Notts were interested in. When Notts couldn't get their priority pick for some reason, there will always be other players that they have extensively researched that will become available. I think that comes down to Notts's excellent recruitment Management.

On paper this looks like a good signing to complete the Notts squad. Jevani can play either on the wing, attacking midfield or as a striker. Jevani will give Stuart Maynard options during a game if I suspect that he will be on the bench to cover in case of injuries or changes needed tactically. I'm sure that Brown doesn't want to be sitting on the bench, and will try to prove a point by forcing himself into the side. Time will tell, if his loan to Notts will be successful, but his addition does strengthen the squad & that's what Stuart wanted.

Confidence should be high after the win against Grimsby.The team that played Grimsby should pick itself if all are fit. There may be a question mark whether Robertson will play, however Notts will have the players in midfield that can come straight into the side if necessary, & still do a job for the side Swindon should not be underestimated & they will post a threat from corners, free kicks & down the flanks. If Notts can keep it tight at the back, Notts's attacking prowess should create enough chances to score a few goal. In hoping for a 2:1 win, however a clean sheet would be great.

@Chris It's good news that Jodi and Dan are staying at least until January. I hope that Notts offer them new improved contracts, with possibly of a get out clause if big offers come in that Notts can't refuse in January. But until then it's now up to the squad to perform & ensure no player leaves, because if the team is near to the top of the league come January, hopefully no one will want to leave.

Dan & Jodi are staying. Those two staying are as good as two massive transfer incomings. Fantastic news to end the day.

@Fan of Big Tone I agree. He has been signed with a specific job to do. Loan signing can work out well, but sometimes they don't. He's here to do a job. If he does it well then it will be a bonus to Notts. If it doesn't work out then he'll be returned to his club.

@Mapperley Pie The Notts management seem to have confidence in him, so I will trust their judgement. He's a versatile player, so he was probably the type of player that they were looking for to complete the squad.

Jevani is another good signing for Notts. Another versatile player joins Notts on loan for the Season. Jevani can play as a striker, attacking midfielder or winger, so is another player who brings fantastic versatility to the squad. The squad is now complete till the next transfer window in January in my opinion.
