  1. Richard Brindley played for Bromley & Notts.
  2. @NiftyNick Good one, is he back on Sky Sports?
  3. @Blake Northern Premier League Premier Division, is the 7th tier of the English league system.
  4. @Chris it is a good score & if the weather holds Notts will have to bat well to avoid defeat in this one Notts are in a transitional stage I would say at the moment. Stuart Broad retired & he has definitely been missed this season. Notts have also lost bowler Stone to England duty & also Ben Duckett, their opening batter.. Notts have some players playing from the second eleven for this match too, so the team is a little weakened due to absences & injuries. It's important Notts avoid defeat as they are third from bottom & the bottom two get relegated to division 2.
  5. End of the day on day two. Unfortunately 53 overs lost to the weather today. Notts finish on 37/1 in reply to Essex's 457 all out.
  6. Welcome to our friendly PON Community @Emma Duffield
  7. Welcome to our friendly PON community @Alan Carnell
  8. Jodi is just continuing on with his form from last season and long may it continue. He is an integral part of the Notts side & much of our attacking play comes through him. I'm so pleased that Notts have held on to him past the summer transfer window. I would love to see Notts offer Jodi an improved contract because it would be well deserved. Meanwhile, another piece of silverware for him would be another testament to his great ability on the ball.
  9. Both players have done well in the lower leagues since they left Notts. I wish them luck with their new club, & hope they can both make a big difference to the Matlock Town team.
  10. That is a nice statistic, but it would also be great to increase our number of goals from Corners & free kicks into the penalty box. I think we may well do that this season with taller players, & good headers in the side. Would be great to get some more penalties too.
  11. Good Morning all. Decent sunny morning but clouding over now, it's windy and a little colder. Looks like we will get blustery showers today. Be prepared for colder days & nights, colder air from the North is moving South. Hoping to cut the lawn this week if given the opportunity. It may be the last cut of the summer. Will be continuing with the shredder today shredding paperwork. It was brand new just a few days ago but trouble is with these small shredders they soon bung up with paper & it has to be cleaned out quite regularly.
  12. Jodi is carrying on where he left off last season by assisting & scoring goals. He's been nominated for the August player of the month award.
  13. Your Tuesday Morning Weather
  14. Essex will resume their innings on the 2nd day on 262/5
  15. At the end of a shorter day due to the Weather Essex are 262 for 5.
  16. Stuart is absolutely delighted in the form that Notts are showing, & he has a right to do so Stuart inherited another Manager's side that were struggling at the back & did his best to stabilise the side before season's end. Now he can call this squad his squad, & he has put together a strong squad over the close season. But it does need a Head Coach to gel those new players into a good strong squad, & Stuart is doing just that. The work on the training ground is paying off & we certainly saw that in practice in the last three matches. The players that have come in are working well together & Didzy, for example is showing a new lease of life. It is early days in the season, & Notts are yet to play the top sides, but there is a buzz & a confidence around the Club at this time that this team can go places
  17. I think that Notts have a gem in George Abbott & I hope that Notts can keep him for the whole season as agreed with Spurs. When he came here I read that Spurs fans thought a lot of him and they were right too. His debut for Notts was brilliant & for such a young age, George has a good footballing head on his shoulders. He was my pick for man of the match against Accrington. It will be fascinating to see how Stuart solves his growing selection headaches. It's going to be difficult for Stuart not to pick him against Bromley. I think a Palmer & Abbott partnership in the centre of midfield for Notts would be awesome, but we do have some really good players like Roberson & Edwards, who will have something to say about that.
  18. Congratulations @BromPie on becoming a Grand Master on the PON community.
  19. Interesting statistics regarding the league record of Notts for their last eleven league matches. Just two losses in 11 with 21 points in total gained. Is Stuart turning things around & winning over his doubters. Thoughts?
