  1. The opener for Notts via Sky Sports.
  2. JATTA.!! Notts 1 Grimsby 0
  3. The Notts team for tonight. So Robertson in defensive midfield. Edwards in too. It's Jones on the right,Tsaroulla on the left with Grant supporting Jatta upfront.
  4. The Weather for Thursday Evening
  5. A hard struggle for Notts with the ball after electing to put Durham into bat this morning. Two centurions in the Durham total today. Highlight for Notts was James taking three wickets. Stumps. Durham 393 for 5
  6. My phone is on silent/ vibrate and if anyone rings me that I know I will ring back if it is legit. My phone warns me of suspected spam calls, and if it doesn't, it gives me an option to report the phone call as spam and I can block the phone number. I must have over 100+ phone numbers blocked now. The problem is, these spammers have multiple phone numbers on auto dial so, someone can soon rack up many spam phone numbers they have to block. Also, if you're not sure of a number you can check it on the internet. If it's spam there will be multiple complaints about it, so in that case I block it.
  7. Slept in this morning to 8:30, it's not like me at all. Used to getting up in the early hours of the morning for most of my working life. Rain was forecast last night but didn't materialise. Overcast here today and a bit windy. Had my yearly wellness check at the Doctors. They check your weight blood pressure, take a sample of blood, Urine sample, & ask you about your diet, lifestyle, or if you have any health concerns. There's lots of issues with the NHS at the moment, but I can't fault them for having the yearly health check, which is a way of spotting problems you might not know
  8. I like that Notts decided to make a bid and take on a promising young player when the opportunity presented itself. Notts now have an abundance of cover in the defensive department. Lucas is a young, tall & promising defender that comes with lots of positive vibes from Charlton fans on social media Notts clearly feel that he will comfortably fit into their style of play, and he will be a player that Notts can develop further. He's definitely one for the future too. We might not see him figure immediately into the first team, as he will need a few weeks to acclimatise himself at Notts & he may turn out for the B team first I'm very pleased with his signing, & Notts have said that they are still pursuing further players to join the squad too.
  9. It is refreshing that Stuart has asked for more protection for his players. The great thing is this season, Notts have a much stronger squad and will be able to rest players if required. Being able to rest players will also help players to remain fresh & reduce possible injuries too. And this positive knock on effect should help Notts to perform much more consistently in matches like tonight against Grimsby. Hopefully, after the encouraging display against Fleetwood, Notts can carry on in the same vain and get their first win of the season tonight.
  10. Lucas Benjamin Ness is 22 years old and 6ft 3ins tall. He was born in Kingston upon Thames. Notts have themselves another tall defender. Lucas came through the youth ranks of the Metropolitan Police & made 9 first team appearances for them in 2019. He moved to Charlton & made 29 appearances for their first team between 2020 & 2022. He then went on loan to Hampton & Richmond Borough in Feb 2022, where he made 13 appearances. In Oct 2022 in went on loan to Torquay Utd where he made 6 appearances before being recalled by Charlton in Dec 2023. He has signed for Notts on a 3 year contract and Notts have an option to extend it to four. Charlton have a sell on clause if Notts sell him on, so that demonstrates that Charlton thinks highly of Lucas. With the signing of Lucas, Notts have a lot of options for their defence now, & it is clear, Notts have gone a long way to address those defensive problems of last season, & the weaknesses in their squad. Looks like Notts have another good defender too, looking at the favourable tweets from Charlton fans.
  11. Lucas looks to be another signing for Notts, where they are looking towards the future. Director Richard Montague said:- Quote:“Sometimes, in the transfer market, an opportunity presents itself which is too good to pass up, and the board are in agreement that this is one of those instances. “Lucas is an outstanding young defender who has huge potential to improve over the duration of his contract, so we’re very excited to bring him to Meadow Lane".
  12. It was a beautiful move for our first goal, a defence splitting pass from Crowley to Macari, & a pin point cross that was put home by Jatta. Notts showed lots of character & determination in that second half & they deservedly got the equaliser with a class flick from McGoldrick that again split the Fleetwood defence, & allowed Tsaroulla to win the penalty. And Jones stroked in the penalty as cool as you like. Pressure, what pressure? If Notts play like they did in that second half against Fleetwood, Notts will win many games this season. Going forward, I think Tsaroulla will have a big part to play at both ends of the pitch. He could be a Notts player to look out for this season.
  13. The County Championship returns after the one day games. Durham v Nottinghamshire. Notts won the toss and will bowl first. Nottinghamshire team below????
  14. Lots of credit to our club for running this programme. Notts are truly a community club. Long may it continue. Unfortunately, I couldn't read the article as you have to subscribe to do so.
  15. It's Matchday. CMON U PIES!!
  16. Middlesbrough 2 v 1 Portsmouth Sunderland 1 v 1 Burnley Charlton Athletic 1 v 2 Bolton Wanderers Lincoln City 2 v 2 Mansfield Town Cheltenham Town 1 v 1 AFC Wimbledon Newport County 2 v 0 Accrington Stanley joker Rochdale 1 v 2 Forest Green Rovers Sutton United 2 v 1 York City
  17. Your Thursday Morning Weather
  18. I agree that the eleven that finished the match against Fleetwood should start the match Thursday evening. I think that Tsaroulla could be key on the left hand side for Notts because he's good going forward & also good at defending. If Notts can cut out those defensive mistakes that were so prevalent last season, this is a match that we should comfortably win.
  19. It was a lovely morning here this morning, plenty of blue Sky so we sat out for a few hours today. Decided to clear the hanging baskets as they were looking a bit jaded, as we'd filled them with early flowers this year. We always try to fill our own baskets rather than buying them full, that tend to be expensive for what they are. Sky clouded over around 1:30 pm so inside for the rest of the day. Surprising how a bit of watering picks the flowers up in the evenings. Funnily enough we haven't really had a lot of rain here in 5 or six weeks.
