  1. Peter Reid springs to mind but I don’t think he played in non league.
  2. I’ve only just had chance to watch this video, it really does show the whole day and the weekend brilliantly from a fans perspective, the nervousness at the start and during the game, then the elation of winning and lastly the emotional scenes celebrating with the staff and players. Well done @ARLukomski it was great reliving it all with you in your video.
  3. I’ll never forget that debut hat trick, brilliant.
  4. Ah sorry @CliftonMagpie being late to the party I hadn’t realised I thought it was any player. Right that narrows it down, I’ll get my thinking cap on.
  5. Does this player have any connection to Notts?
  6. Matty Palmer is no doubt an exceptionally gifted player and we are very lucky to have him, he definitely makes Notts County tick. A bit like Don Masson did all those years ago.
  7. I’m honoured thank you @CliftonMagpie thank you.
  8. Did he start at Wolverhampton Wanderers?
  9. The Reedtz brothers are a class act, everything they do and say proves that. Our beloved club is safe in their hands and I’m so excited for the future.
  10. It’s great to hear Luke feels bonded to the city, hopefully this means he’ll stick around in the city, mind you it doesn’t stop him replacing Steve Cooper. ???? Oh I wish I hadn’t thought of that now.
  11. I went to the semi final at Meadow Lane with my family, that game was so nerve racking but thoroughly enjoyable. I really wanted to go to Wembley but my son and family were away on holiday so I had no one to go with (Billy no mates) which is a shame because being realistic it’s possibly the last time I’ll get the chance at my age. However I watched on the telly with Mrs. Fan of Big Tone, what a match it was and it was fantastic to see our fans celebrating at the end I was so jealous. The result brought me to tears I was so emotional to see us return to the league. What a master stroke by Luke Williams to bring on young Archie Mair, those penalty saves were tremendous. I can’t wait until next season.
  12. I came out of the event I’d been to and on the way home I switched the radio on just in time to hear the third goal go in so I switched straight back off again. Let’s face it we didn’t really expect to win did we? But if I’m honest some teams of the past would have made a better fist of it, last seasons team would certainly have done better. However it is what it is and it looks like we are going to have a serious battle to avoid relegation I hope Kewell and the players are up for the fight because right now it’s not looking good.
  13. It’s be typical of Notts to go and nick this it depends on the players attitudes, if Barnsley make changes and their players turn up thinking it’s an easy game then if Notts players turn up detetermined to fight for every ball and everything clicks into place we could cause an upset. There are a lot of ifs there but who knows?
  14. Yep another must win, we need to scrap and play ugly if necessary just get a win.
  15. Why can’t we hold on to a lead with 3 minutes to go? Answers on a postcard.
  16. Stead is out of the team injured, that’s a massive blow in my opinion. Dennis replaces him, let’s hope he takes his chance.
  17. I agree, a win, any win will do.
  18. I'm hoping for a win and would agree with @ARLukomski's team selection. We need to start climbing the table because God forbid we are in a relegation battle at the end of the season, I can't stand that.
  19. It sounds like we were unlucky to lose and the performance was much better, let’s hope the Bury game was a bad day at the office and last nights performance will become the norm because as @weymouthPIE says if we play like that we’ll win more than we lose.
  20. Well as I said in the daily chat thread I’ll be listening fearing the worse but hoping for the best. We can only hope the lads have a reaction from Saturday and put in a storming performance, these things do sometimes happen........don’t they? Please? Anybody? We’ll be ok, won’t we? Arrrgghh, the bells, the bells.
  21. I’m ashamed to say I don’t take a lot of interest in the other teams in league 2 with the possible exception of Mansfailed so I don’t really know much about Bury or their players but I’m hoping for a win obviously or I’d settle for a draw. By the way is it pronounced Boory or Berry? And why are they called The Shakers?
  22. It was tough on the lady pies but I believe Hardy did it in the best interests of the club as a whole, which to me is more important than peripheral entity’s.
  23. 1-0 what a great win for Notts, so pleased for the 800+ fans who travelled including our own @Chris @Magic magpie And @LozCloughSLO save journey back folks.
