Good morning, it’s carpet laying day here so we are up early, I hope they come on time and get it done quickly so we can start getting the house in order again. Good morning it’s a new week and we are in for a scorcher this week, temperatures are set to rise to around 30 degrees again, guess I’d better get the fan back out from the loft. We’ve got the last few jobs to do before our carpet is fitted tomorrow, the old carpet is now taken up and on the drive ready for the tip, we’ve done the bits of painting and touching up needed, we’ve just got to get as much furniture out as we can, the carpet fitters will have to move the rest as they lay the carpet. I hope everyone is well, let us know what you’re up to this week.

The words of Duff when he arrived at Swansea are eerily very similar to what MP has said on arrival at Notts, it’s almost as if he’s wrote it down and used it. I think the owners will have drilled into him they way they want to play and the committee will soon let him know if he drifts away from that in the after game meetings, I’d like to be a fly on the wall.

It was a disappointing result for sure, as others have pointed out Salford came with a plan and executed it perfectly. It’s done now, they will get back on the training pitch and work at putting things right. Let’s not get too disheartened it’s very early days, lots of new players who need to work together better as a team. As an aside it was great to see Jorge Grant back at the Lane, I wish we’d signed him, why do some fans boo players who served us well?

@McPie thank you for your “glass half full” post it’s nice to hear some positivity, fans these days seem to be to impatient, if we aren’t winning every game by at least two clear goals then everyone wants the head coach sacked, players shipped out, new signings etc., I agree that the team needs to gel and be given time to learn how each other plays, once we have a settled side that have played with each other for a number of games then hopefully we will see things start to get better.

Fr me it was between Aljofree, Palmer and Bennetts out of the three Aljofree edged it in my opinion.
