  1. Wesley Burns is a very good Championship player, way too good for being stuck in a team like Ipswich. He would fit into any of the teams that bounce up and down between the Premier League. It was a beautiful strike and well-worked goal.
  2. Hello, @Darryl Chapman. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. We are a very friendly community.
  3. I hope we can begin to worry less, as we’ve noticed that we often give up too quickly, something we’ve been conscious of all season. I won’t criticise the players for the poor defence, I’m certain they’re aware and will be upset with themselves. I simply hope we become more resilient from this experience because we’re in an excellent position where a little more effort could yield results.
  4. The video complements the artwork beautifully, allowing you to appreciate the evolution of the piece as each part is drawn sequentially.
  5. We’ve seen a rise in the past and there’s no reason why we can’t see another in the future. I don’t believe the boss needs to make any special efforts to reach out. We’re in a strong position with many excellent members, though it would be lovely to see some return. @Super_Danny_Allsopp continues to post, but seems a bit less involved. I noticed he came back and posted on his wall, but didn’t get a response.
  6. Hello, welcome to our site and community @Strawb66. I hope you have fun on PON.
  7. I have faith in Luke Williams, but he needs to be looking for defenders come January. Junior Morias is a great lad too, I’m glad he got his chance and scored. It’s just a pity our defenders can’t hold their ground as well.
  8. I’m gutted that I made the journey from Manchester to endure the cold and watch that performance. That's what we fans do, isn't it? I’m at a loss for words at how poor our defence was. There were moments when it was truly astounding. It was the same team that conceded the goals we did. The highlight was the youngster who scored our second goal - he struck it brilliantly and deserves to be the talking point.
  9. Our defence was rather haphazard, leading to three easy goals for the opposition. The club needs to address this defensive issue as we’re not seeing any signs of improvement. Shrewsbury Town weren’t significantly superior to us. The main difference between us was our poor defending.
  10. Defeating Shrewsbury Town wouldn't necessarily be considered a surprising victory. They’re a strong team, but they could easily blend into League Two and be average or compete with us. They have some good players, but we mustn’t forget our own strengths. A successful cup run would be great, but first, we need to focus on tonight’s match and aim for a win.
  11. We talked in the pre-season about how Junior Morias would fit into the squad. With Cedwyn Scott’s injury, Junior has been given more of an opportunity. He’s got a turn of speed that’s frighteningly quick, which could come in handy. His goal was brilliantly placed, so we know he’s got the ability to score. I hope he gets more opportunities as he’s had a bit of bad luck with injuries.
  12. Crawley Town certainly posed a challenge, but once we got into our stride and David McGoldrick equalised, we were able to take control in the second half. Jim O'Brien's remarkable goal showcased his unwavering agility, effortlessly converting a challenging header into a seemingly effortless move. I’m really chuffed for him and hope he scores a few more this season.
  13. He was a deeply troubled singer, and fame wasn’t kind to him. I was glad when he finally managed to smile again. It seemed like he had turned a corner, which makes it all the more sad to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace, Shane McGowan.
  14. Just like the Man of the Match in football, it brings teams together and gives a player something to aim for or to feel valued for their efforts. I’m glad to see it’s back, giving everyone a chance to earn the recognition they deserve. I’m happy for @Piethagoram and @super_ram, two very kind and dedicated members of the PON forum. Congratulations to both of you, enjoy the campaign.

  16. Hello, @samantha louise. I am pleased to see you have joined us; we are a friendly group of fans at PON. We'll all make you feel welcomed.
  17. Welcome, @magpiemad. I am delighted to see you have found your way to PON. I really like your username! It's quite appealing!
  18. As for Sam Slocombe, I hope he’s not seriously injured. I’m fond of both him and Aidan Stone, so it would be worrying if Slocombe was out for a long time. But Stone is fully capable of stepping back into the team. We were fantastic in the second half, everything just fell into place and we turned the tables on Crawley. Our pressure on them really paid off. It was a brilliant win.
  19. It's quite an intriguing appointment, he's not someone I'd want at Notts. The reaction from Grimsby fans seems to be quite varied, and it's rather amusing to read through one of their forums. I managed to get to page 5, then skipped to the end. There's a fair bit of filler and most of the comments could have been written by a school child. Here's a link https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1701081981/s-0/ It's a bit fishy over there, but it's worth a read, preferably with some popcorn.
  20. Terry Venables seemed like a truly upright individual who cared about his role as manager. Many former England internationals have spoken very highly of him, which says a lot. Rest in Peace, El Tel.
  21. Until someone confronts them and other companies, the prices will keep rising. It’s not really fair business because it’s not like you can choose a different company. They should be compelled to use their profits to repair their own infrastructure.
  22. Yeah, that’s not a statistic you want to hold. It’s going to be a while before we manage to beat them at home. I can’t envision us finding them to be an easy opponent.
  23. Keep going, @Chris. You’ll start to see more significant improvements if you stay on the path you’re on. I’m fortunate, I can eat non-stop and not gain weight. This might change when I reach my 30s, but for now, I’m enjoying it.
  24. Hello, @Laura Cameron. Welcome to Pride of Nottingham. You’re not related to Kyle by any chance, are you?
  25. His future doesn’t seem to be on the wings, as we have numerous players in those positions and some will always be preferred over him for some reason. It’s more likely he will be brought on as a substitute in this area, but I can easily envision him being used as a temporary fill-in again in one of our three centre back positions.
