  2. Right player at the wrong time. I would happily have him back, especially in this system under the guidance of Luke Williams. Technically astute, can pick a pass. We weren't stable enough at the time we signed him, to be able to help him achieve his potential. We are in a much better place now as a club, and as for Will, he's improved as a player too
  3. Notts County 0-2 Wrexham - Two quick goals decide it

  15. Alan Judge. Doesn't matter if it was left foot or right foot, if he had space 30 yards out, he was unleashing all kinds of sonic thunder with the strike of a ball. That guy had a loathing of tap ins.
  16. Notts County 4-3 Forest Green Rovers - Clinical but chaotic
  17. This isn't it from Connell. Not towards one of your own fans anyway. I know Tom and he puts a lot of hard work into his analysis and threads. This isn't even football related either, it's over a tweet about boxing. He's allowed an opinion, as is everyone. This whole thing of "you have to have been involved in the thing you are talking about to have an opinion about it" is rubbish I'm afraid. Otherwise, no football fan who hasn't played professional football before, would be allowed to have an opinion, even though we follow it every week. I have an interest in wrestling and F1 as well. I've never stepped inside a wrestling ring or an F1 car, but I can still have an opinion on it. I love the bloke for his contribution to Notts, but this isn't the one I'm afraid. On a side note, I'm not sure why there's a few Chesterfield fans piping up. After what happened with furlough, vaccines, their player at Oldham and Dobra's antics against us and after Wembley, I'm not sure they are in a position to speak about morals.
  18. Leeds United 2-1 Watford Swansea City 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday Cambridge United 1-1 Port Vale Portsmouth 1-0 Lincoln City (Joker) Morecambe 2-1 Swindon Town Stockport County 1-1 Wrexham Gateshead 3-1 Maidenhead United Oldham Athletic 3-1 Oxford City
  19. Archie Mair, Kenton Richardson, Regan Booty and Ed Francis. The Notts alumni
  20. Think we've missed out on one here. He would've been perfect for the RCB role in the back 3. Aggressive, quick and good at bringing the ball out from the back. Having said this, we've adapted well with Brindley and Baldwin swapping and we've added Tipton and Macari to cover, both of whom seem to have a decent amount of pace on them.
  21. The loss of Alfie May was obviously going to affect them. Not just his goals but his creative ability too. They haven't scored in 8 league games and the only goal they have scored (or had scored for them) was Bristol Rovers putting through their own net in the Papa John's Trophy. They're struggling with creativity in midfield and they lost their director of football in the summer to Shrewsbury.
  22. From the list I'd like us to look at Conor Keeley, Josh Honohan and Ben McCormack. Two players that aren't on the list and I'm not sure about their contract situation are Derry City pair Cameron McJannet and Ben Doherty. We tried to get their manager before we went for Luke Williams and with us having bids rejected for Keeley, I wouldn't be surprised if we looked into the League of Ireland. Sam Curtis is another with potential but I think he'll go higher
  23. I'll always appreciate Ian. I was going through a horrible time in March and April of 2021. He was the manager of Notts then and the end to that season gave me something to smile about. I needed the 2021-22 season so I could go to the football again. The season might not have ended how we wanted but he gave me a lot of good memories. I met him after the last home game against Alty and what a gent. Took time out to have a photo with us and have a laugh as well. Would happily take him out for a drink
  24. Saw him score his first professional goal in the FA Cup against Tranmere. We might have got top 3 if he hadn't got injured
  25. Salford City 0-2 Notts County - Scintillating and stylish
