Will Moniz Master This Notts Squad?

I am hearing some of the signings Moniz didn't want, which leads me to think this could be why he's struggling to settle the squad down. Looking back at interviews, some players said they hadn't even met, scene or spoken to Moniz!! So how are these his players? can this explain why some are not to be seen near the first team?

It really makes me wonder, will Moniz master this Notts squad?

Opinions?

Yes I think he will. It might take until Christmas before we see consistent results. I think we should be prepared for the possibility that it might take 2 seasons to get out of L2. I hope RT is patient and not trigger happy.

I think (hope) things will come good driven time but I'm also worried that Mr Trew will give the manager time to get the team playing the way he wants, he hasn't actually got a good record as far as being patient is concerned.

Yes he will, he's getting to groups with his options and learning about them still. This will take time, it doesn't happen instantly I am afraid.

He will get a select group going, I am sure. He will be able to get the most out of players also once they come on board with his style play.

Read my article on the homepage to read my opinion.

i think so, he shows a good understanding and even if people have signed players he did not sanction hes more than capable of working with them.

Moniz will do just fine, that I am sure of and after a few months we should have a grip on the state of play.

Anymore thoughts on this?

There is no pattern to our signings, its just a mismatch squad and that will be difficult for Moniz to master in my opinion.

I remember when Paolo DiCanio took over as our manager he inherited a depleted squad and added very many unknown overseas players. All appeared to have well paid contracts and if they did not work out then he discarded and replaced them.

We bought League 2 championship in his first year but at a very high cost and things unravelled spectacularly in following season.

Are you running the risk of following this pattern?

Having said that Paolo DiCanio became bigger than the club which I guess will not be the case with your manager.

@medievalmickey probably, notts copy people no matter what and always look to replicate rather than their own success.
