There were lots of positives to take from that game, Notts performed very well and could have won if Khouyar’s shot right at the end had been on target. Roberts’ goal was superb that will give him lots of confidence. It’s been well documented that we need more bodies particularly upfront and I expect there to be more coming in between now and the close of the transfer window. In his interview Paterson was asked if any new faces would coming in before Leicester, his one word answer was “yes”.

I am guessing but I believe @Graham has hit the nail on the head when he says Jodi it’s after a new contract and his expectations don’t match what the club is prepared to pay, we saw the same with Didzy. No player is bigger than the club, they are obviously confident they can replace these players with new hungry players who match their model, as they have demonstrated in the past. Time will tell whether it’s the right thing to do. The latest club rumoured to be courting Jodi is Northampton. As I said before I hope he doesn’t go but trust the system if he does.

I’m sure it’s like a water off a ducks back and they are used to the vocal minority on social media who give us fans a bad name, it’s embarrassing to read sometimes and I try not to read the comments. I prefer this place which is much more civilised (usually).

A competitive ball hasn’t been kicked yet so let’s wait and see, we’ll eventually find out if the owners were ready or not. I personally think that they were prepared for every scenario but perhaps things haven’t gone quite as well as planned with regards to their first choice signings. There’s no doubt it will be a tough league the first few games will be particularly hard the fans need to stick with the team, the manager and the owners. I’d take that, no one should expect us to be flying high at the end of the season. Consolidation is the key.

I hope we can keep him, on his day he’s one of those players that get you out of your seat in anticipation when he gets the ball. I think he’s still got something to offer in league one.
